Decent zoo. We visited on a cold Friday (April 1) and it was unexpectedly crowded. Particularly liked the apes - they have lots of gorillas and bonobos. Also like the North American birds in an enclosure that you walk through. Discounted price in April.

This was our second time to the Columbus zoo and we were very excited to see the entire zoo this time, but the africa exhibit was closed. Luckily the lions and lionesses were out in Africa, but nothing else. We were also looking forward to...More

The Columbus Zoo is still one of the best zoos in the entire nation but I love it less after visiting with my special-needs niece and nephew. The twins were constantly overwhelmed by the music, outdoor concessions, and pay activities (train and merry-go-round). As an...More

From a previous review, I read 20,000 people on the last Wednesday in March was probably not expected. I can say that I did not expect it. Traffic at a crawl on Sawmill Rd., we finally arrived around noon, only to stand in a long...More

I don't think they were expecting the 20,000 people on a Wednesday at the end of March...many food places closed, venders closed, exhibits closed...but overall a good trip.

This is a modern zoo where the needs of the animals are top priority and you can see the extensive influence from TV’s Jack Hannah (Zoo Director Emeritus). There is lots of new construction to build new modern habitats. The zoo is located just outside...More

Mass disorganization at entrance. Portions of zoo was not open. One hour food lines on a Wednesday admittedly on spring break week. Simply not enough staff for crowd.

They have a huge parking lot where an rv should have no problem day parking. But to my knowledge (and I have been over the whole lot) there are no evidence specific areas. Out near the edges should be no problem. But no... More

I stood at the entrance to the tall deck where the giraffes come up and saw very clearly people feeding them, their very long tongues wrapping around the leaves. Viicarious enjoyment for free!
