I remember when I was very young seeing Animals coupled up in cages at my Zoo but those days are long gone as the Columbus Zoo has built habitats as close to nature as possible for their animals. Their African Savannah is home to herd or zebra, giraffes, Thompson gazelles, ostriches & assorted birds. The lion pride is adjacent but... More

We had a corporate function at the Columbus Zoo. They handled it very well and we had exclusive use of the aquarium where we could touch various sea creatures. The meal and facilities were great.

Went to the zoo specifically to see Wild Lights. It had been snowing and, by the time we got there, the snow had turned to rain. Even despite the weather, the lights were beautiful.

This zoo has a huge animal collection and is broken up in geographical sections: African Savannah, African Forest, Asia & Islands, North America, Australia, and Shores. With a water park attached to it, this zoo could take two days to experience. The zoo has one of the best polar bear exhibits in the country (with an additional of three cubs... More

My family really enjoyed this zoo. It is really big compared to our local zoo. We had 3 small children so it took us a good amount of time to get around the whole thing. Next time I would prefer to go 2 days because we did not make it to one part of the zoo. All the animals were... More

I grew up in central Ohio, and we always enjoy visiting the zoo on our trips back here. My three kids, ages 10, 13 and 16, all like to go here, as well. We go in and walk right, and continue walking right, so that we can cover everything. It is laid out by different areas of the world. Typically,... More

The Columbus Zoo is one of the best zoos in the world. It was already a pre-eminent zoo, before the latest renovation expanding the giraffe grounds. This is a large zoo with several excellent exhibits. My favorite are the giraffes and the gorillas, but there is everything for everyone. Even a camel ride for kids. During the winter months they... My best friend and I fell in love with the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. We right away liked that the zoo map included the locations that are closed down for the winter. Although a lot of the zoo was closed we were still blown away with what we saw and the well designed indoor exhibits. We very much enjoyed the... More

Traveled here last year July 2015. Has lot of animals from different continent. Coming here makes you feel like you've been to different continent or countries. Great for family.
