We happened upon the park just killing a bit of time. We hiked the board walk trail and saw lots of wildlife. We will be back for a more in depth visit, it seemed like a really fun place!

Wonderful campsites. Very well maintained grounds.Sites situated with trees and bushes for a lot of privacy and large lots. Fields and trees between sections and saw mother and baby deer. Beach clean and maintained. My favorite place of the summer for camping.

We traveled to the park for the day to swim, only to find out the bacteria levels were too high (stats from OSU) and not recommended to swim in. It is a beautiful lake and we found a cool resort to hang out at and...More

If you stay for one day, you'll be disappointed because of how much stuff you'll be missing out on by not staying for two or more. It's a fantastic family getaway. Beaches, pools, indoor/outdoor activities, bike rentals, paddle boats, all along the coast line. I...More

While we were at Maumee Bay State Park (on a Friday in August), they seemed to have more sections closed than open? Trying to find an open restroom proved very difficult and we were ready to leave the property, when we found someone able to...More

The park was nice and parking is close to the beach, but it did not strike me as exceptionally nice.

We camped at Maumee Bay State Park for two nights. The campsites provide ample space for our 37' motorhome plus our car. They only have 30 amp service, no water or sewer hookup. This is a very quiet park and we enjoyed listening to the...More

The fire pits do not have grates. I don't know about the kayak rental but you could give them a call and ask.

Yes. Campsites allow pop up canopy's. If you are having a picnic you may want to call the park office first to verify.
