Trails for walking and biking. Ponds for quiet fishing. An 18 hold golf course that is challenging. For travelers, there are cabins and a big lodge.

For my 70th birthday surprise my wife rented a cabin for us at Maumee State Park. The cabin was spacious, clean, nice kitchen and rec room, good size master bedroom, loft, etc. The lodge was excellent. Good restauarant, nice view, and best of all, a very accommodating and delightful staff. We look forward to our next visit.

Needed a little get out of the house time. Found the pool and hot tub very relaxing. Just what my husband and I needed. Plan on doing it again next month. 👍🏻

Lodge was clean and staff was friendly but staff was not understanding with issue we had with neighbors. We had 6 and 4 year old sleeping when the room next door checked into the room at 930 at night with a child same age. The parents allowed child to pound on Wall and adjoining door. I asked them (the parents)... More

We stayed in the Lodge for our 25th anniversary. I was pleasantly surprised by the facility, the grounds, the staff (A+++) and the proximity to nearby attractions. We stayed on the ground floor, in room 111 (an excellent room, perfectly located at the end of the hall, near 2 entrances (back and front). The room had a walk-out to the... More

The Lodge is great. Spacious surroundings. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Brittany went beyond the call of duty to get us a room on the floor we wanted. The facility was very clean and well kept. I recommend it, highly.

I loved staying right on Lake Erie in their private cabins. Nightly deer visits, chirping birds. Perfect! The boardwalk was awesome taking you right into the marsh up close and personal. Lots of land for walking and lots of beach for exploring.

This is not only a State Park but a large resort facility located on the shore of Lake Erie. There is no charge to use most of the public areas. They have a nature center that is closed Monday and Tuesday but open the rest of the week. Behind it is a boardwalk taking you through some of the natural... More

The marshy wetland at Maumee Bay State Park is worth a look if you have interest in natural areas that are different from most areas in Ohio. There are two miles of boardwalk, and most of it is in good shape. We noted the variety of plants that grow in different areas along the path, and got some good exercise.... More
