Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sensational little winery, fantastic hospitality to go with the fantastic food and wines.

Definitely a must visit on the Bellarine.

Stefano and Leesa are wonderful hosts, you can even pick your own LP records to play!

Visiting the Bellarine Peninsula, Curlewis Wines is a must. Superior wines, a great wine flight and a lively rustic venue. You can even play your own back ground music from the selection of
vintage vinyl records. A great Weekend afternoon visit with very personalised and friendly service.

Such a novel way to present the tasting. Very enjoyable. Relaxed surroundings and friendly atmosphere. We would definitely return but next time for lunch because the Menu looked delicious.

Amazing gem in Bellarine. It's cosy, rustic and relaxing environmeny to hng out with family, friends or partner. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable and the wines are very good and we recommend buying at least a couple!

A wonderful setting on a mid winters day in a warm cosy cellar door. Choices of wine for tasting are each placed in a range of test tubes with tasting notes, to be poured into a wine glass. For this there is a charge, which is not refunded on purchases. Plus is allows people to share easily but downside is lack of interaction and questions to cellar staff. Couches and chairs around table make sharing plates of food ideal. Worked OK as we were a group of 6 but would have less attraction for me if only 2 people. Enjoyed their white wine more than reds. While a good experience, missed the cellar door staff interaction.

The platters are amazing, fresh produce artistically presented. The wine is up there in quality but not in price, very good value. Great place to spend a lazy Saturday or Sunday.

The tasting room and eating area is known as "Appellation" and functions as a casual wine tasting and food bar. Steve (one of the owners) make most of the meat based produce himself, and is in charge of the decisions regarding the winery in consultation with Reiner Britt, the previous owner. The vibe is rustic friendliness. The wines are of excellent quality, and they have a world first blend in Chardonnay/Arneis (or Charneis), which is eminently drinkable.
