It's a natural destination! Escape to the tranquility of nature and explore the beauty of an unspoiled beach and miles of hiking and water trails. Located on the shores of Lake Erie, just 30 minutes east of Cleveland, you'll find 450 acres of green space with 1-1/2 miles of shoreline with rare dune plants, a riverine marsh and mature oak bluff. Over 150 species of birds have been recorded, making this a top birding location. Electric carts are available on a first come basis for the handicapped. Call 440-205-3625 in advance to reserve.

Beautiful views this time of year at the Mentor Marsh. The birds, flowers and butterflies are all fun to see while taking a hike through the woods next to the Marsh.

I would have given the park 5 stars based on the beauty, but the deer flies and mosquitoes can be trouble

We decided to go to the Lagoons for our engagement photos and it was a great choice. If you walk far enough there is a secluded beach and it is very private. Lots of trails to go on, its a great location for walking.

We visited national parks, state parks, and other preserves, and for a city park the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve is astonishing. It's a little less than a square mile in size, but boasts a nature preserve, excellent walks, forest paths, a marsh, and great views...More

Great short hike for two bird watchers. I wished we could have found a trail that went closer to the marsh. The Rim trail never got close enough to do bird watching. But we loved hearing the waves crashing on the beach. We had the...More

You can hike or bike along the Lakeshore here. The trails are flat. You can make your way to Headlands on your bike through quiet neighborhoods. Kayaking is done mostly in the marina. Kayak rentals are available. Nice park.

The ground is a sandy gravel mix. If your pet is okay walking on that, then yes.

Mentor Lagoons directions posted by Sunil are right on point. It's pretty easy to find. If your looking for a more "beachy" area, I would suggest Mentor Headlands, the beach is really nice there. But either place is... More
