This is a big, beautiful lake front beach! Well-maintained & great for kids to run around. Really nice park nearby for picnics!

Went to this beach in the morning after a cold front went thru, little rain but winds changed direction and increased. Being cool, I guess, kept number of visitors down. Waves were wonderful. Long beach, nice scenery. Would be good for swimming on a warmer day.

Sand dunes, stiff breeze, lighthouse, and buoys. A great place for a contemplative walk along the Lake Erie shore. There are paths among the dunes, and the beach ends at an historic lighthouse (inaccessible). There is some litter on the beach that washes up from the lake. It's relatively secluded, at least in fall.

Headlands Beach is a family favorite. The length of the beach is great for walking, you can get a good hike in. The beach is always clean. It is great for picnics and family outings or just sitting in a beach chair and relaxing with your feet in the water.

Went there this summer and had a very nice time! Beach was clean as well as the restrooms! Refreshment stands were very good too!

What a clean and peaceful beach. Great getaway for a quiet day trip. Have lunch or dinner in Grand River.

Mentor Headlands is Ohio's longest beach. It is a bit rocky near the shore line, with tiny little flat pebbles rather than sand. It is a good beach for hunting sea glass, hanging out with friends and watching boats go by. there is a food shack as well as public restrooms and BBQ grills and picnic tables.

My daughters and I spent about an hour in late Sept. walking along the shore of Lake Erie, wading, collecting rocks. The water was a blue-green. Sailboats were on the horizon. It was a very peaceful spot in the afternoon. The Grand River lighthouse is impressive. We appreciated having many shade trees in the parking lot.

Beautiful beach with great views and a walking trail. Sunsets are exceptional here. There are a few benches here and there but it's best to bring your own portable chair. There are restrooms available. .
