As a local many of us take this place for granted. We don't realize how nice it is till we go elsewhere. This beach is huge! The pure amount of sand is just impressive. It is brown sand, and can be hot on the feet...More

This is a beautiful beach to visit with plenty of shoreline to sunbathe on or sit and watch the kids playing in the water. The only problem we had was the very rocky sand, which makes it quite painful to walk on barefoot. Everyone was...More

After checking in to a local hotel, we drove a short 2 miles to see Lake Erie. It was windy and a tad cold so not many people were there. A few couples walking their dogs mainly. We talked to one guy that was coming...More

Large beach that is kept very clean. There are lifeguards on duty at intervals along the beach. The walking track seems safe and runs along the beach. There is a concession stand in the middle and bathrooms along the beach that are kept clean with...More

We enjoyed the quiet beach today. Just strolling along the beach. Lots of interesting stones. We'll be back to enjoy this again.

We walked the paved path between the massive parking lots and the beach. The beach is over 1 mile long with the 50-75 yards of sand between the parking and the lake. The sand has some rocks. Normally their is a band of rocks near...More

I was there on the Sunday before Labor Day, around 9 AM for a nice walk before my continued drive. The beach was nearly empty. Long, wide beach with plenty of room for lots of people! Lovely lighthouse off in the distance. Many campers walking...More

The beach was beautiful, not crowded. I went about 30 minutes before sunset hoping for a nice walk & a pretty sunset. While the sunset did not disappoint, it was a very rough walk. Lots of pebbles, sticks and other items that were not friendly...More

Took the Mrs. up for a relaxing day at the beach. A great place to walk, sun, and stick your toe in the water. Short (or longer if you like) hikes are possible on the Buckeye Trail as well.
