The Massillon museum is a great place to take house guests. The first floor offers different showings throughout the year. Upstairs has Massillon history and also a permanent exhibit of a miniature circus created by Dr Immel, a dentist who had a love for the circus. Great place to visit.

For a city the size of Massillon, the Massillon Museum is a true treasure, and it's free! Interesting art displays are changed often. Many displays attract a wide audience. Dr. Immel's circus is a MUST see. Oscar, in the basement, is a true Tigertown tradition. For those who grew up in Massillon, who can forget opening up Oscar's closet!! The... More

Delightful and cozy museum in the center of Massillon. Excellent venue with art work, photos, and lots of unique local history exhibits. Every exhibit is well curated by the museum staff. Great coffee shop in the lobby, good place to hang out before or after browsing the exhibits. Best part yet - no admission fee, but make sure you drop... More

Stopped here with friends and they had the Masters of American Photography Gallery on Saturday which featured one of my personal favorites in Ansel Adams. I recommend this place if you stop in Massillon.

I have seen such amazing exhibits here, particularly photographic ones like the current "Masters in American Photography" show. They do an outstanding job bringing them in/putting them together, and often have other smaller exhibits which complement the main show. It's a great source of local history if you like that and they often show local artists. They have a lot... More

I am new to area and wanted to learn about its history. I had seen a segment on mysteries and the museum about and man named Coxey and what he did for the area. I was hoping there would be more on the history of massillon. Not sure how the dresses/ Clothing was particular to this area besides they seemed... More

I wasn't aware of how much I would enjoy this adventure. I was greeted by a lady and she walked with me, as I admired the magic of an artist. Many of the settings took me back memory lane, and she explained the back history of each portrait. I will continue to learn more and visit the museum on their... More

This is our local museum and has had multiple theme displays through the years. I'd recommend checking it out if you're in the area to see what the current display is about. My son's class stopped when there was a display of art work from various schools and were thrilled to see students they knew. This was special display for... More

One the finest museums you'll find anywhere. An art and history museum that has wonderful exhibitions and a friendly staff. The cafe, Anderson's in the City, is great. Lots of special events, too. Checkout their calendar. Amazing.
