Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Rose is a beautiful venue. Unfortunately, every time we have gone to see a show there it has been ruined by people who don’t know how to act at concerts. We don’t go to a lot of concerts. It’s expensive, and we have to get a sitter on a weeknight. We went to see Train tonight, and it was special for us because they play “our song.” We left halfway through the show because a family of 8 next to and in front of us spent 3 hours doing everything BUT paying attention to Train. Talking, showing each other stuff on their phones, changing seats, changing clothes(!) It would be nice if we considered how our actions affect others… We haven’t experienced this elsewhere, but we experience it every time we go to the Rose. Perhaps people local to this venue don’t have the expectation of considering those around them. Because of this, we’re crossing it off our list of venues to attend. Such a shame.

We drove from Milwaukee to see Santana here. It is a beautiful venue. Although I didn't realize it was an outdoor show. The small capacity made everything super easy--parking was a breeze (and the price is included in your ticket already!), no long lines at the bathrooms or concessions. Loved everything about it. Wish I lived closer to it.

First time at Rose (Elvis Costello & The Imposters) and hope to go back for more shows. Getting in and out was a breeze, staff were all friendly, and it's a nice open space designed simply but effectively.
One complaint, and it's rather significant: sound. I'd seen a number of reviews complaining about the sound here, but I always wonder if it's the venue or the artist's sound guy or maybe just someone who has trouble hearing. The night we were there (left side, Sec. 101), the sound was a big, muddy mess; otherwise, I'd be happy to give Rose 5 stars. After having found cell phone and YouTube footage of this show from other seats and compared it to other shows on EC's current tour, I'm leaning toward it being a problem with the venue.
I'll probably go back for another concert, but if the sound is an issue again I will feel like that's confirmation that there's a problem. Anyone else experience issues with their mix?

Was our first time here to see a concert and we liked everything about this venue. We had floor seats by the stage and the seats we comfortable and there was plenty of room, unlike many other venues who cram you in. Plenty of concessions, clean restrooms, and helpful workers. The parking is also super close with lots of spots available, also it is included with the price of the ticket. Don’t have anything bad to say about this venue.

it does not matter where you sit at this venue. There are really no “bad” seats. However, we like the middle the best.

First time to this venue. Very nice - incredibly clean with good food concessions and restrooms. Seating is nice. Acoustics were decent. Nothing but good to say about the Rose!

The Rose Music Center @ the Heights is a great music venue! The unlikely location ( right off Interstate 70 ) is very easy to get to with ample parking! With both a hotel and restaurant in walking distance, attending any concert event is a treat. Every seat in this open-air style event space has a great view! My walk down memory lane to see Berlin, OMD & The B-52s couldn't have been better in this venue!

Went to see Foreigner, they were great, sound was fine, Sears are a bit tight, but that’s everywhere. It did get a bit hot, even with fans, try for an aisle seat, better airflow. All seats looks pretty good. We’re going back for ZZ Top this month, hopefully as good as an experience as last time.

We live in Columbus and drive to Huber Heights for outdoor concerts at The Rose! It is the PERFECT venue. To begin, all seats are under roof. And the seats? Not a bad seat in the whole venue. We always purchase seats in the absolute last row; there is always a breeze in the last row--even on stagnant, humid days. The venue is right off the freeway .. . . . The parking is at the venue site and not 2 miles away (I'm talking to you Blossom Music Center). Our favorite place for a show! We stay in the Fairborn/Beavercreek area and explore all the local food and attractions.

What time do the concerts start
DaytonWoman

They vary in time. Your ticket will give you the accurate time. We had a concert we went to that The Rose Facebook page had stated the wrong time. They stated 1 hour earlier than the actual concert time. There were a bunch of people lined up waiting for the gates to open. So check your ticket.
I am staying less than a mile from the venue. Is it safe to walk in the area? Thanks.

That is a commercial only area. I am not positive you will find sidewalks on either side of the venue since the area is still being developed.

If you get there early, not more than 100-200 yards... not a long walk at all.

Anyone know what hotel the venue uses as a sponsor? Trying to get a good one for our trip this month

There is a Holiday Inn express on 202 close to I 70W also closer to the Venue is a Red Roof in and a Comfort in on 201(Brandt Pike). Across the street on 201 is a Waffle house, and Bob Evans and a Walmart. The hotels are right behind Tim Hortons.
