About
From the K Road Cliffs you can see the beginnings of the estuary of the Werribee River below. Here the river has cut down into the Werribee delta over the eons exposing the cliffs, creating a flood plain through which the river flows on its way to Port Phillip Bay six kilometres away at Werribee South. Some good walks exist on the river with wildlife and great views in proximity to working farms.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Best view from the "The Views" but form the carpark is not bad. Make sure its a sunny day. Even better is a trip up the river in a dinghy.

Decided to visit after stopping at Werribee zoo and Mansion. There were a few car parks along K Road to stop and admire the view. Would loved to have walked along waters edge but did not see any opportunity in the way of paths or steps to do so. Great spot for photos yet when taking photos in the direction of golf club car park, it’s hard to not get cars in the shot. There are picnic table and benches so a nice spot to have a picnic lunch and admire the views.

There is a car park on the bend in the road. On the edge of the car park are a number of picnic tables and some paths down to the waters edge. The view is quite nice and the cliffs are quite the sight. Well worth the visit.

We had only ever been down K Road as far as Werribee Park before but read about the cliffs and decided to have a look. The colours were glorious on our sunny morning visit. A great photo opportunity.

If you're heading out to the Werribee Open Range Zoo, or Werribee Golf Club or to the Werribee Mansion or Equestrian Centre, etc., allow yourself a little extra time to drive down K Road and park at the end before the big bend and sit at one of the many park benches/tables and take in the views of the cliffs. They are huge. The area at the entrance to the golf course is closed off because many trees are about due to fall into the gorge. You can see many of the greens of the golf course contrasted against the bending Werribee River where paddle steamers once entered way up the river as part of the Werribee to Melbourne ferry service.

We travelled along part of the cliffs in a small open bus from the Werribee Zoo. A beautiful outlook, with african animals in the background. Great. Don't miss it.

The best way to see these cliffs is to come by kayak. We had real trouble trying to find a suitable place to launch our kayaks, in the end we had to launch at Werribee South boat ramp which was a very long way to paddle. However, they are nice to look at from the road, and when we were there a birdwatching man told us there is a barn owl which nests in the cliffs. That would be worth looking out for if you have binoculars.
