Oysters were super fresh and tasted perfect for me. Great balance of sweetness and brine. Personally my fav oyster place in tassie. Well worth the detour.

We sampled these oysters at the Piedmont and were absolutely astounded at the size, flavor and quality of the oysters. The next day went and bought some oysters direct and got the complete low down from the owner which was great.

It is a bit of a drive but well worth the effort. Homer the beagle greeted us wit a wag of the tail. A dozen oysters went down easily. Had bought a bottle of wine up the road and glasses were quickly and happily provided....More

Dropped by in the morning to collect some oysters- so fresh!. Buy them there to eat on the spot of they will pack them up with ice to take away. Just fabulous!

Beautiful stop for lunch at Melshell oysters. Super fresh, well loved and respected oysters. Fun, outdoor table settings over looking the water. Staff passionate about providing the best quality oysters and very competitive pricing considering the unique experience. Well worth a stop.

I visited Melshell in January but unfortunately it says on their website they are closed for the month of August.
