Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Peoples Park is located a few minute drive from the main street. There is ample parking and a toilets available. The walk to the Falls is about 15 minutes each way, several patches along the way have a board walk covered in synthetic grass. The rainforest is lush and green and just beautiful, it really takes you in for a stroll rather than a hike. The story boards along the way a done by the local school children, it is a cute way to read about the location, the species and the wildlife. The Falls itself is lovely, you can get quite close to it down a steep and challenging stairway. I highly recommend this for young and old alike, and it is dog friendly.

If you're looking for an easy short walk through a temperate rainforest to a waterfall, I'd highly recommend this walk. its mostly flat with just a few stairs just before the waterfall. Put an hour aside and enjoy this beautiful walk in Strahan.

A few minutes from Strahan village is this must see 40 minute return bushwalk. The path is beautifully maintained with some sections carpeted walkways suitable for wheelchair access. Having completed some was at Lake St Clair this walk is not only easier but more beautiful and interesting. Unlike too many Australian attractions this wonderful attraction is free of charge.

This very easy 40 minute walk is so worth it - less than 15 metre in to the walk from People’s Park you are in the most pristine rain forest. Black gums tower high above you as varietal ferns hug the path. It’s majestic and silent save the sound of rushing water. As you approach the falls (about 20 minutes - longer if you, like me, stop to admire and breath in the surrounds) the cascading water fills the forrest and a fine mist softly drifts into the trees.

This is a Grade 1 walk - quite easy for all ages - but is well worth the 20 min return trip. Always many vehicles in the car park, so can be worthwhile to park up the road somewhere.... RECOMMENDED!

This is an easy walk starting at the People’s Park. The path meanders through some lovely cool climate rainforest, and finishes at the falls. We were told there were platypus in the stream, but didn’t see any on the day we visited. The walk takes approximately 40 minutes from the car park and back, but we spent longer, staying awhile admiring the falls. Nice way to spend some time if you are staying in Strahan.

This was a nice walk into the Falls, though be aware there are a set of steps at the end if you want to go to the lower level. To be honest, the area needs a better platform to cater for the number of visitors and one or two seats along the 15-20 minute walk in.
It’s a fairly easy walk.

Easy to park and a level walk, alongside the stream, with just a short set of steps up to the falls at the end, and then down into the spray-filled basin if you wish (one step is very tall). The falls are not the largest or greatest anywhere, and the water is the locally typical tannin-stained brown. The walk is slightly further than signed, perhaps 20 mins each way, and there are pretty signs designed by local school students along the way showing and describing the local flora.

This is one of Tasmania's 60 top short walks. Starts in peoples park where there is parking and is a 40 min return to very pretty small falls. Easy walking with interpretive boards by local schoolchildren.

The Hogarth family owned this area as part of a larger estate. It was the family picnic area and as the family became wealthy they donated this area to the local community as a public recreation area. The family were involved in the local timber industry (Huon Pine) and the local fishing industry.
