What can I say? We did the 6 hour cruise leaving at 8.30am which included lunch. The staff were fantastic , they were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I learnt a lot about the area and fight that happened about 20 years ago in relation to the Gordon River dam. Lunch was a cold buffet - enough for... More

Definitely recommend this cruise. Great guides, comfortable seats and spectacular viewing. The stops at Sarah Island and the rainforest were informative and interesting. We visited with a chatty, lively 4 year old and all staff were friendly and sweet with her. Toilet facilities were well maintained. Lunch was a simple but perfectly acceptable buffet - cold meats, garden and pasta... More

This cruise was the ideal way to see the Gordon River. The scenery was spectacular - even though dark clouds and occasional rain - the photos came up brilliantly. Glassy still water at times with dark clouds and the gorgeous trees reflecting in the water ensured spectacular photos. All the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure our... More

As per my review! It was everything and more! It is beautiful, peaceful, informative, relaxing, wonderful photo opportunities, makes you appreciate how hard the natives worked within the timber industry, great food on the boat, amazing tour of Sarah Island, great staff, amazing view - and all those adjectives! I'd suggest you book, but we snuck in with 10 minutes... More

Very enjoyable cruise around Macquarie Harbour and disembarking twice to experience the past lives of convicts and the forests of the western coast. The staff were friendly and very helpful and very informative

we decided not to take the most expensive option on the captains deck which I think included morning tea. We booked premium seats in the lower deck but we were able to move around the boat so had spectacular views. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful however the buffet lunch was quite a disappointment. The chicken wasn't edible and they... More

Our second trip on this tour. We were impressed the first time. Very helpful and friendly staff. Informative day out. Captains deck and everything was included. For the extra cost it was worth it. Seats on this deck face out so everyone sees the views. Plenty of room to roam around. The crew are very well informed and know there... More

What a wonderful surprise this cruise was. From the beginning the fantastic energetic young staff were wonderful in caring for all passengers. Their commentary was very informative, historical, well articulated and easy to listen to. The meal was excellent and the 2 stops were engaging, informative and so so interesting.

We have travelled several river cruises on different continents; Gordon River Cruise is not only excellent value for money but also covers unique environments not seen elsewhere. It is an unspoilt wild river system without parallel.

This was a large boat so it was great that they had efficient ways of getting you to your seat and serving the lunch. Although you had an assigned seat you could move about the boat at will. Sailed out through "Hell's Gate" with the guide describing its impact on Strahan Harbour which is apparently bigger than Sydney Harbour and... More
