Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I arrived here late in the afternoon on an overcast day. It is exceptionally easy to locate and has a huge carpark... because the beach is curved... I believe it would protect you from extreme weather changes. There is a toilet block nearby and there is a monument here to learn about the local area.

The beach invites you to slip down for a few moments and enjoy the solitude. There was no-one else on the beach the day I was there... there was one other male in a car in the carpark (probably escaping from having to go home to mow lawns or something :) ).

Just watching the waves on a very winters day is comfort for the soul. Godfrey’s Beach is unspoiled nature at its best

Popped down to feed the seagulls our left over takeaways. Lovely looking beach, love to walk our dog on it! Well equipped with toilets & bins.

This is a curved beach just over a kilometre long that stretches between a rocky headland at the western end of the beach and the Nut at the other. At the Nut (town) end there is a penguin viewing platform and the Stanley cemetery.

This beach had lots of seaweed on it and a number of rocks below the tide line. It also looked fairly rough on the day we visited.

There was though a large grassed area with a children's playground and picnic facilities. There was also a large car park.

The beach itself is rocky and fairly average and is located between Highfield and the Nut and is surrunded by impressive scenery. The town end ,adjacent to the burial ground has a penguin viewing platform.Worth a visit.

It is a lovely, inviting looking beach with golden sand, but does appear to have dangerous currents and many jellyfish.

Another beach that is probably best visited during warmer months. Looked lovely when viewed from the cliffs near Highfield Historic Site or from the summit of the Nut. Close up it was somewhat different, the beach not as expansive, areas of small rocks, seaweed and fairly large swells rolling towards land. Glad that the coffee van was there and we warmed up with a tasty cuppa.

Beautiful little beach, great for a walk or just a sit. There is plenty of parking, a playground and picnic area. Enjoyed our stop here.

The sand was so nice and flat that it is easy to walk on and it is a good walk if you want to walk the entire beach. Few people are there which makes it even better. View of the Nut is good. There are showers at the top to wash off the sand.

One of the two public beaches in Stanley. Nice to walk on, even if the water is cold. Views from beach are lovely
