Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were greeted by the wonderful Julie, who’s family have lived in the region form several generations. The wines were terrific (we bought 3 bottles) but the whole experience was fantastic. Julie not only served the wines with some biscuits, but also could not help us enough to plan the rest of our trip. She provided a number of excellent recommendations. That we followed in terms of places and wineries to visit. This was one of those unexpected experiences that end up being a highlight of your trip. We weren’t charged for the tasting. Highly recommend!

The wine deserves a 5 star the whites were all very nice our disappointment came when we all purchased wine, as on top of the purchase we were all charged an extra $8 ea for tasting. That wouldn’t worry me if I hadn’t purchased wine but was shocked that both the husband and wife agreed to charge us all an extra $8 ea knowing we were all buying wine also, I’ve never had a winery charge me for tasting if you purchase wine.

We stopped here at 3.30 just prior to close and were met with a warm friendly greeting and an amazing tasting . I have not been a white wine drinker for some time but walked away with a bottle of Sav Blanc the lightest most refreshing white I have ever had. The Pinot Noir is outstanding . Nice friendly winery with outstanding wine .

This is my third trip around Tasmania, and I have sampled quite a few wines along the way. This vineyards Sauvignon Blanc is the best Tasmanian white I have tasted ... and by a long way. Also, their Chardonnay is not very far behind. They are fruity, complex and highly drinkable, maybe because of the extra sunshine in this corner of Tas. Highly recommended.

Thank you Desleigh for your comments & rating. We are passionate about our boutique vineyard & rustic Cellar Door. We are fortunate to have had a great mentor & wine maker for the 13 years we have been growing grapes. We look forward to sharing other vintages with you in the future. Best wishes, Julie.

After checking out the Bay of Fires make sure you stop and sample the wonderful wines at Priory Ridge. A gorgeous little historical cabin is the setting for this experience with a wonderful host and owner Julie sharing not only the details of the wines but the history of the area that her family has been a part of for generations. Free wine tasting of both their whites and a red is really terrific. A beautiful little vineyard where you get personal service. I can’t recommend it enough. Just go and enjoy.

Aiming to support local businesses in Tasmania in this strangest off times, we have been travelling ever few weekends around the state staying in accommodation, dining out and visiting fun places. As part of Septembers great wine event we attended Priory Ridge’s event - a wine tasting. Great welcome from David :) Fantastic music by Rod. Half a dozen oysters was my choice of nibbles - delicious. Tasted four wines with the Pinot noir a delight - took home half a dozen! The view of the rolling green hills is stunning.

Thank you for your kind review & for partaking in our Great Eastern Wine event. This was our first public event, and with Covid restrictions we were indebted to the efforts of our team to make the day the success that it was. We are pleased that you enjoyed the local foods (cheese & oysters) and that you came to value the quality & style of our Pinot Noir. We look forward to your next visit. Kind regards, Julie & David.

We stopped on the way back from the Holy Cow Cafe. lovely Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sav Blanc and Pinot Noir on offer. Lots of history in this great little winery and lovely owners with a passion for their product and all things local. They even had maps of the area (with everything you’d need to know)

This wine tasting venue has character with family historical photos etc adorning the walls making this the antidote to the modern minimalist tasting rooms in many wineries. This together with the wine tasting being given by the owner, who was very proud of the winery and its history and the history of the farm. We tasted 4 wines, all good but due to airline restrictions we were only able to buy a small quantity.
