We took the 8.45pm tour so it got darker quicker. Our tour guide was extremely well versed in storey telling and kept everybody's interest for the full 90 minutes. Went in summer but nights are still cold so take a jacket. Great for family of...More

It was not scary, just walking around in the dark, with a storyteller, trying her hardest to make it scary...but I think the stories were true, but not gruesome enough. We had our own torch which was good as I could not see the uneven...More

The stories all had common events like rattling chains and screams, people seen in windows and chairs moving. Not scary but it was a nice night time stroll.

We took our 9 and 11 year old on the tour and it was brilliant! The tour guide (Jacinta) was so informative and excellent at telling the stories. Both kids loved their time and I will defiantly be doing one again in the future.

This tour goes for 90 minutes around a dark and foreboding Port Arthur. The site takes on an entirely different persona at night and being led around by candlelight is really something else. Our guide was someone who really loved his work and got everyone...More

They have de-risked it so much, it's not worth your time. I did it 10 years ago and it was great. Nolonger. They have taken all the fun away. Avoid.More
