About
Hire one of our eco-friendly, human powered Hydrobikes for a quick 30 minute 'Come and Try' ride, a 60 minute River Discovery Tour or a longer 'End of Tide' ride or fishing ride. These bikes are nothing like the old pedal boats or water trikes but are highly engineered pieces of equipment. Top speed of 5 to 8 knots, or a jogging pace. Pedaling the bikes operates the propeller which easily propels the rider through the water. Great for all ages and abilities, provided you are tall enough to reach the pedals (minimum height of rider 142cm. Maximum weight of rider 125kg) Located at The Esplanade, New Norfolk in the picturesque Derwent Valley, open all year round however opening days and times are dependent of weather and river conditions. We had a great time on a 1-hour hydrobike tour with Amanda. Easy, fun and good exercise! Great value and a unique way to see the area! Would highly recommend giving it a try.
