Originally went only to see Russell Falls but ended up doing the entire hike to Lady Barron Falls, this was about 2hrs, finishing up hauling ourselves up the 300 odd steps at the end. This is fantastic location and excellent for the whole family. At first I was a little disappointed you had to pay to use a national park,... More

This is a great place to stay, on a hot day you can cool off in the river. after dark a walk to the falls to see the glow worms is a must, I suggest going back in daylight to get a good look at the falls. the possums and wallabies are everywhere we were also lucky enough to see... More

A beautiful easy walk along a boardwalk through a fernglade following a bubbling stream. The falls were really pretty. I came back on the alternate dirt track which was well defined and followed the creek. Only a few places I was glad I had my walking stick. A couple of seats along the way would not go astray for people... More

My teenage daughter was Ted to see a rainforest. Of course Russell Falls did not disappoint. We did the 2.5 hour walk to lady barron falls, had a picnic lunch then a fanatic coffee in the cafe. Great experience.

A must. And do stay at the camping grou d. See my review. A most delightful spot for any age. Theres even a road up to the tall trees walking track to make it easier for those with weary legs.

We used to live in the Gold Coast hinterland, so we've had our serve of rainforest waterfalls. Russell Falls beats them all. A superbly scenic but easy walk takes you from the Visitors Centre. The falls are beautiful, spreading symmetrically over multiple terraces. The path is sealed and nearly flat (wheelchair-friendly) all the way to Russell Falls. It's steeper thereafter,... More

Accessible to everyone, a short and easy wheelchair friendly walk to the falls, which were breathtaking. The falls platform was quite crowded as it is a popular walk. We didn't continue on as the further walks are not accessible to wheelchairs.

A short walk through mossy rainforest to see something special, multi-tiered falls like curtains hanging from natural balustrades. Walk further and discover other wonders.

An absolute must visit, but take your Aeroguard with you as the mozzies are vicious! Otherwise, there is a gentle walk through the most beautiful scenery and then...you come to Russell Falls...stunning! Photographers, take your tripod and set a long exposure to get beautiful white water trails.

I'd read about these falls and was holing my breath hoping they would live up to the hype and our whole family have voted...... Russell Falls are the best waterfalls we have EVER seen. It cascades on various levels, the surrounding forest is breathtaking and it's a very short walk with a huge reward at the end. This is a... More
