We had planned on hiking to some falls this day but it was raining so the car was a good alternative. You buy your ticket at a visitor center then either walk or drive to the cave. It is pretty chilling in the cave so wear a coat. Our guide was just average and could have been better. It was... More

Our guide (Dave) was calm - always good, in a cave - enthusiastic and knowledgeable. There were 31 people in our group but we were all able to hear and see the wonders in the depths of the cave. The glow worms glowed; the cave formations were sensational; the time went by very quickly. Highly recommended.

Tours are on the hour, check times. Duration is a bit more than an hour, so getting to King Solomon's Cave could be tight. About 0 minute walk from ticket office to upper car park just before cave is very pretty. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, both of cave formation and local history plus the other factors that influence cave... More

The older fellow who was our guide was very passionate, informative, enthusiastic, well-informed, and personable! An excellent guide! He led us on a 70-minute tour of the cave complex which featured stalagmites, stalactites, straws, flow-stones and a very unique forked stalagmite! Of course, you can't forget about the 60-or-so Glowworms that may be visible if you have keen eyes and... More

I was looking for somewhere to take my 6 year old granddaughter. This was a great experience she loved every minute. She mainly wanted to see the glow worms but loved the pretty formations & crystals in the rocks too. Our guide was great with all the kids on the tour as well as us oldies. I did struggle towards... Make sure you take a warm jumper as its 9 degrees Celsius inside the cave. Tickets are available at the office near the carpark, as a guided tour is the only option for visiting the caves. From the ticket office to the cave entrance is a short walk (10-15 minute) along a bush track - its beautiful. The track runs... More

We were staying nearby for a couple of days and this was one of the highlights. The cave has recently re-opened after some flooding last year. The guide was lovely and kept everybody interested. We parked at the ticket office and did the 10 minute walk from there to the caves.

If you are in the area it's well worth a visit. The caves are stunning and we had a really informative guide who obviously enjoyed his work. Amazing.

Highly recommend allowing time to do the 10 minute walk from the ticket office to the cave entrance, such beautiful scenery of ferns and trees beside a stream, one of the most scenic walks we have come across. For us, this was the highlight of this attraction. Quite a lot of stairs inside the cave, and the glow worms were... More

Marakoopa Cave is not a large network, if you have visited caves in France, for example, but the glow worms are a real hit with kids. The tour is not overly long (in fact ours was a bit rushed due to another group coming in - our start seemed a bit slow) which is good for children. Some lovely formations... More
