Lovely experience we sat in the kitchen area of the gorgeous house. The lady doing the wine tasting was very down to earth. She knew her stuff and added some interesting stories to her presentation. The wines were good especially the Reisling.

We had a great time at Bell and Gong. The venue is stunning, the wines were delicious and the staff were very friendly! Would definitely recommend hosting an event there!

Our favourite vineyard in Tasmania!
May 2019 • Couples
We really enjoyed visiting this vineyard, it is in a beautiful setting and we had a very warm welcome. The wines were delicious and we had a very informative chat with John, who's passion for the wine and the wine making process is clear. We learned a great deal and will definitely be returning.

This little winery is a real hidden gem. We had driven by without even noticing it there. Luckily for us we called into the Tamar valley wine centre where they told us it was with trying their wines. They were not open on the Wednesday when we were passing but they happy to open any day. We arrived to a lovely little cheese platter and a very informative chat about the owners love of wine and the winemaking techniques they use. Lovely people and great wine. Highly recommended.

Worth a visit!

We had heard of Bell and Gong through a friend who highly recommended their Pinot Noir he forget to mention how amazing the Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc are too. We were greeted by their pet Chihuahua and her four puppies. Simon and Frances welcomed us with a small cheese platter and very generous pours of their delicious wines, it felt more like visiting friends than a cellar door! The garden is beautiful too, well worth a visit.

Boutique bliss in a beautiful setting

I highly recommend this lovely vineyard. We stayed at Woolmers Estate in Longford the night before and were hoping to visit Brickendon Estate. Sadly it was closed, so I quickly searched for alternative options in Longford and was taken by the gushing reviews of Bell & Gong. I have three children so the animal thing was high on my list as was the winery thing but visiting wineries is hard with complaining children. Anyway Pearl the gorgeous dog kindly let my children play with her divine little puppies which left us to appreciate the fine wines of this special little place. John the host was so informative, friendly and couldn’t have been more welcoming to us. We loved the Sauv Blanc which is surprising as I have moved away from them after the oversupply of NZ’s Sauvies in Australia. The Riesling was lovely but the Piinot Noir was sublime and the stand out. John talked about the characteristics of the wine and the region and made it very personal. We also enjoyed the beaut cheese plate. Just perfect and a fabulous little detour on our way to Launceston. I look forward to enjoying these wines back by the fire at our home in Sydney. Thanks Bell & Gong.

From the moment we arrived we were treated with warm hospitality.
The wine tasting was complimented with a lovely cheese platter. The wines were not only beautiful, but the educational experience that was complimented with a tour of the vineyard and a lesson with the refractometer, added to the whole experience. Something you don’t always experience at the larger vineyards. We would highly recommend this vineyard & cellar door to anyone looking for a great wine tasting experience.

A piece of heaven
Mar. 2018 • Couples
We were privileged to visit Bell & Gong as part of a wine tasting day tour. We have been on quite a few of these trips & this winery stood out head & shoulders above anywhere else we have ever visited. Frances treated us like friends of the family - she took us down amongst the vines where we tasted the grapes & learnt all about growing top quality fruit & she demonstrated how they test to see if it’s ready for picking. Unexpected bonuses were being able to hold Pearl’s puppies & feeding the beautiful horses. We had an absolute feast of a lunch which was the perfect accompaniment to the top notch wines they produce. Thank you Frances for making us so welcome in your piece of heaven!
