Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Found just north of lilydale, poorly signposted so whatcha out for the sign for lilydale falls nature reserve. It is a 7 minute walk to the first falls, mostly very gentle slightly upward slope, then small bridge over the creek, and a few large steps up before 20 steps down to the falls, it is only a 3 minute walk to the next falls, mostly flat, walking along the creek. These falls are larger with a small small swimming hole. Children's play area, toilets, several BBQ's and covered tables are also here

The falls are approximately a 25 - 30 minute drive outside of Launceston. There is an attractive reserve along the side of the main road where you can park and take the path to the falls. There are covered BBQ facilities and tables and benches in the reserve as well as toilet facilities.
The signage at the start of the walk to the falls states that it will take 5 minutes to the first falls and 10 minutes to the second level. It took us a little longer to get to the first falls as we had to navigate over a couple of fallen trees and the path was very muddy.
As we crossed the little bridge over the Second River the strength of the rushing water became apparent. We climbed up some stairs and followed the path up towards the second level but our progress was stopped as the water was flowing over the path and you could not see were you would be walking.
We retreated though were pleased that we had seen the falls in full flow. Will come back when the floods have receded and flows are back to normal.

We were told of the falls and camping area. Only stayed one night but was ok. The shower area now locked up (hence free) but mens and ladies toliets available. Popular stop for campers of all ages and vehicle types. Peaceful setting.
A short walk to two lots of waterfalls. Shortage of rain meant not big falls but still nice to see

Located adjacent to the road, the Reserve offers a pretty and well maintained day use area with some capacity for overnight camping, particularly tents.
It is a short, pretty 15 minutes walk to the falls: there are two sets, the upper falls being the better. Worth a stop if passing by this way but not a must-see destination in itself.

A beautiful waterfall that's less than 35 mins drive from Launceston. Plentiful parking and toilets are available, plus a lovely reserve for the kids to play in. The walk to the waterfalls is fairly easy, with some muddy stairs towards the end. Definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area!

Just outside Lilydale is the easy and short walk to 2 waterfalls.
The paths are well formed and there is boardwalk in places.
Best seen in winter after the rain but always beautiful.
Great bbq and play area for families.
Good parking and clean public toilets

Beautiful waterfalls and a lovely easy walk to get to them. I would return to see them if back in the area. The whole environment was so peaceful. Pack a picnic and enjoy a bit of time here, it is worth a look.

A fairly easy walk alongside a running creek, through a lovely rainforest area, to reach two beautiful waterfalls. The walk is mostly accessible by prams or wheelchairs until you get closer and need to climb some stairs and uneven stone steps to reach the waterfalls. Plenty of rocks to clamber over when you get to the falls. Just out of Lilydale and a short drive from Launceston - worth the effort.
