We went to several wineries to taste their wines during our trip. Kate Hill has the best wines. Free tastings too and very informative. Reisling to us was the best. The wines are a bit pricey but very nice experience.

Delicious wines made by a lovely couple. The award winning riesling is enough of a reason to visit, but plenty of other great varieties Don’t miss a visit!

The wines Kate Hill produces are truly stunning as is she as the winemaker. James Halliday gives this small winery 5 stars and it is truly deserved. Campbell Mattinson raves about Kate's 2016 Riesling (Halliday gives it 97/100) and her 2017 Riesling is just as scrumptious. Also try her Pinot Noir - and just about anything else that Kate has a hand in. If you don't stop off, try and buy her wines, you are missing something very special. We kind of stumbled across this little place, but was one of our favourites on our trip through Tassie. The tasting space is so cute and beautifully laid out. We were met by Mr Hill (Kate’s husband who’s name I unfortunately didn’t catch). Whilst his wife is the wine maker, he was full of knowledge about the wines, the local area and all things Tassie.
