How super cute is this place! The view, the set up, the ability to just have a glass of wine on the lawn if you so wish; AND the wines!!! Well done Kate, they are superb. I loved everything and got some great local knowledge in the process which was really helpful so thank you. The lady who served me was so hospitable and welcoming.

We went to several wineries to taste their wines during our trip. Kate Hill has the best wines. Free tastings too and very informative. Reisling to us was the best. The wines are a bit pricey but very nice experience.

Delicious wines made by a lovely couple. The award winning riesling is enough of a reason to visit, but plenty of other great varieties

Don’t miss a visit!

The wines Kate Hill produces are truly stunning as is she as the winemaker. James Halliday gives this small winery 5 stars and it is truly deserved. Campbell Mattinson raves about Kate's 2016 Riesling (Halliday gives it 97/100) and her 2017 Riesling is just as scrumptious. Also try her Pinot Noir - and just about anything else that Kate has a hand in. If you don't stop off, try and buy her wines, you are missing something very special. Amazing stuff from a lady who is happy to have a lovely conversation with anyone who enjoys wine. We loved our stop off.

So when you think about Cab merlo you don’t necessarily think of Tasmania or the Huon valley, but the 2010 is to die for, limit stock available

We kind of stumbled across this little place, but was one of our favourites on our trip through Tassie. The tasting space is so cute and beautifully laid out. We were met by Mr Hill (Kate’s husband who’s name I unfortunately didn’t catch). Whilst his wife is the wine maker, he was full of knowledge about the wines, the local area and all things Tassie. That fact that the wine was fantastic is an added bonus ;)

We visited Kate Hill’s winery and tastes several whites and a sparkling wine. The sparkling wine was from 2011 and has sat on its lees for 7 years. Some complex tasting notes as a result. The Chardonnay was also pleasant. This is an up and coming winery to watch for.

We have done lots of wineries on our trip and found this one to be amazing. Down to earth and interesting. Wine was much better quality than some of the much bigger operations. Mr Hill was manning the winery when we stopped by and he is quite a character, interesting, funny and full of wine knowledge. His wife is the wine maker but he is a great front of house.

Brilliant. Not pretentious. Deal direct with the winemakers. Lovely stop off. Highly recommended. Medal winning wines.
