I have sailed a lot and this was one of my most favorite experiences. A surprise arranged by my girlfriend, one of the highlights of our trip to Tasmania. The hosts / captain were really lovely and we could not have asked for a more enjoyable time on the water. Beautiful boat, maintained to perfection and the cheeses and wine was fantastic. Will book again when we visit again in the summer.

I don't handle sea travel well - in fact, hardly ever. My wife and I had a superb afternoon on Sail Freycinet today and we couldn't be more pleased with the service and time out. Ok, we didn't see dolphins or whales (although others have seen them recently) but we saw seals, beautiful birds and amazing view of Freycinet National Park. It rained (Even the BOM got it wrong) but we were protected from the rain on a beautiful yacht. The cheese, biscuits and drinks were v nice with most being local Tasmanian product. We could have had wine and beer but chose not to. There was a small swell before the weather front came through but I survived easily.
This is a great company which seems to be willing to make the afternoon or day, the way you want it. I'll be asking if my company would be willing to have a session with them. The yacht seats 8 people with the crew (2) being available to help wherever. I'd love to do this again - this time, the whole day trip.

So glad we changed you mind about sailing! We almost got all weather conditions but you did handle it brilliantly. We really enjoyed your company and would love to see you again. Thanks so much.

Found the operators to be unethical in their dealings and wouldn't recommend them if you're travelling a long way and relying on actually getting on your trip. You're far better off going with Schouten Passage 2 around to Wineglass bay for their trip, cheaper and more reliable.

An overnighter hosted perfectly by Graham and Kathryn. It was worth the drive from Hobart and a 2 day overnighter(not to mention the cost courtesy of our Daughter). It must have been our lucky day as we saw a couple of Orcas exiting Coles bay and smooth sailing all the way to Wineglass bay. It was quite an experience falling asleep to the gentle rocking and waking up to dead calm totally isolated waters/beach. The previous nights fishing boats had gone. The food produced was great and nothing was too much trouble for Kathryn. Graham even took us to a fishing spot..and a cast immediately snared 3 fish on lures. A second cast...same...within seconds..as well as a third. Returning to Coles Bay Graham gave the tiller(I think that's what it's called) to my Daughter. We crossed a few Whales and a calf, flying fish...but the 'piece de resistance'...was a couple of dozen Porpoises breaking away from a distant pod and 'escorting' us into Coles Bay...a magical experience..as I said we were very lucky...all in all...one hell of a trip

Thank you Kathryn and Graeme for a perfect day of sailing. It was a bit too choppy to go ashore to Wineglass Bay but we did not mind as we had a great time fishing and caught quite a few couta. The lunch was lovely and accompanied by local sparkling and table wine which added to the experience of lunching in a beautiful bay with calm sea. Going back we did some sailing which was great fun and Graeme showed what an expert sailor he is. We want to go back and experience an overnight stay.

I spent few hours with the skipper, Graeme, and his trusty assistant, Kathryn sailing out from Coles Bay and return. A couple had booked the experience but did not mind having me join them. The desk at the Freycinet Lodge made the arrangement for me at the last minute. The ship is first class as are its operators. Graeme took care to let each of us be involved in taking the helm up the measure of our experience. For me that meant a first time, but I don't think Graeme was ever more than a half second away from taking back the wheel. Being on the sea off Tasmania was a special and unique experience. The competence and care given by Graeme and Kathryn made it completely enjoyable. And the price was very fair. A must if you love being on the water or even want to find out if you love being on the water.

We took our family from Canada on a day trip with Sail Freycinet to show them the best of Tasmania! It was the perfect day - Graeme and Kathryn were great hosts, very relaxed and made us feel special. The lunch on board was incredible! They picked the perfect spots for us to sail, and even try a spot of fishing. It was the highlight of our trip and we could not have asked for anything better!

We had a wonderful day with Sail Freycinet and loved every minute. You start from Coles Bay where Graeme and Kathryn recommend were to go based on the weather conditions. We had a wonderful hot, sunny day so we stopped for lunch by a deserted beach where Graeme can either take you in the dinghy to shore or if you are a hardy soul you can dive off the yacht & swim, which of course was what we did! The lunch was really tasty (far exceeding my expectations) and seriously what could be better than drinking sparkling wine on the water by a deserted sunny beach under the shadow of the mountains?

During the Christmas holidays our daughter bought us a sailing adventure we will never forget!

We got picked up at the dock by a crusty old seaman named Graeme. Turns out he wasn't that crusty or old but he sure looked like he knew what he was doing!

Our mission was to sail to Coles Bay and take the 2 k trek to Wineglass Bay - which we did.

Being from Northern Ontario Canada where the temperature was -20 when we left, we haven't had a lot (any) experience sailing - which was good because Graeme and Kathryn did EVERYTHING for us!

The ship is beautiful - you know the kind that you say " I wonder what celebrity is on that?" Well the answer was US ! Too cool.

There were 6 of us altogether, 2 around 30 and 4 around 60. Loads of space for us to enjoy a terrific lunch including lamb chops and sausages on the barbie!

We also got up a pretty good speed at times which was pretty fun and exciting.

My daughter caught a couple fish too.

What more could you ask for? Another day at sea would be a start!
