Just remember when you leave the carpark this is a difficult walk and should not be undertaken by people who have a heart condition. Also take plenty of water with you on the walk. The view is worth the effort

Took us about 1 1/2 hours with 15 mins at top to admire views. Suitable for us elder ones who are relatively fit as you can take your time and rest if needed. Great views to reward the climb. Very safe walk up and down.

Bit of a hike to get there but well worth the views. Consider doing this if you are able to manage a uphill/downhill walk

The view is just amazing! Did the walk up and struggled a bit. Obviously we were not in good shape but it was all worth it at the top.

I think if you want the spectacular views you see in pictures, Mt Amos is the lookout (I think) - it was great to see the shape of the bay from a high angle, and the walk is pleasant enough. I actually was more impressed with the Tourville Lighthouse lookout.

The walk to wineglass bay lookout was lovely it only took us about 30 mins , we continued to wine glass bay beach ... return trip was just under 2 and half hours ... quite rocky and steep in places, not for anyone who can't climb steep rocky steps, very enjoyable beautiful scenery

The walk here is very easy and manageable for most people. But the views are exquisite. I couldn't recommend it enough if you're nearby. Just consider parking as we found it to be a nightmare. Tasmania Parks Service has provided a tenth as many car parks as there were cars. So it's a total battle to get a spot within... More

A reasonable level of fitness is required. Some good views across Coles Bay on the way up. The lookout is busy but well worth the walk. Lookout provides some excellent views over Wineglass Bay. If able, it is well worth the walk down to the bay itself.

We visited the Freycinet National Park on a pleasant day in early January. On the journey to the park it had briefly rained, but the sky started to clear as we arrived. We decided to complete the 11km hike which goes up to Wineglass Bay Lookout, before crossing over to Hazards Beech and then skirting the coastline to get back... More

We went on a sunny Saturday. A lot of people had the same idea, so the car park was full. No problems, just park along the road. The walk to the view point is about 30 minutes. From the view point to the beach is another 45 minute walk. We brought some beers and water, chilled all day on the... More
