The walking path to the lookout is well maintained. It’s about 45 minutes from the car park one way. There was a friendly wallaby at the lookout that day and my kids were happy taking photos with it. Many tourists taking photos at this spot,...More

One of the shorter walking trails in the park, but also quite steep with about 350 stairs. Don't fret...there are plenty of places to stop for a rest along the way and the track is in great condition. The view at the top is a...More

Of course how hard it is depends on your fitness level. I’m not too fit so had to stop a few times but there are plenty of spots to stop with some lovely things to look at while you catch your breath. 40 minutes up...More

We really enjoyed the walk to the lookout but it was a little difficult with a 4 year old. The walk is pretty but take lots of insect repellent! Lots and lots! I was bitten through my clothing. The view from the lookout is pretty...More

We had a fantastic 3 days in Coles Bay camping. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed some beautiful walks and swims in crystal clear water.

Wineglass bay is stunning, but so are a lot of other, more easily accessible beaches in Tasmania. If you were going to do the walk down to the beach then stop here as a part of it, but walking up all those stairs to glimpse...More

We recently visited the Wineglass Bay Lookout on one of the warmer days in Tasmania. The walk was easy with our children (10&8). The scenery along the walk up to the lookout is rewarding as well. If you are waking more quietly you will see...More

The view at the top is ok but nothing special. I have no idea why people are so impressed by it. I didn't even bother taking a photo. Luckily we already had a parks pass, I would have felt really bad paying for that.

The track is in good condition but being summer was busy, so don't expect to feel 'at one with the wilderness'. Reasonably average fitness family, took us about an hour up and back. The view is good but if you are well travelled then most...More

The first hassle here was parking - it was a busy day, and we had to go around two or three times before we got a spot! Yikes! But it was well worth it, and the walk to the lookout was fairly manageable (lots of...More

The Lighthouse Lookout would be your best bet. If you drop into the visitors centre on your way in the staff are very helpful.

The only ticket you need to buy is the one to get into the national park. You buy it at the information centre on the road in You don't need another ticket to do the walk. Enjoy
