I took the plunge and left my lodging at 630 to be at the top for sunrise. It's a 10 minute drive to the car park that is not that well signposted. I took the wrong road towards the lighthouse instead of going straight on....More

One of the premier day walk activities when visiting Freycinet NP - the walk was completely refreshing and not overly difficult. (we had amazing weather and therefore views forever). Track is in excellent condition and well marked (obvious really) with a number of places to...More

The climb to the lookout traverse up the saddle between two mountains. The track winds its way up with several extensive sets of stone steps along the way. You might see the odd friendly wallaby or Kangaroo along the way. Make sure you take a...More

The walk up to Wineglass Bay lookout is relatively easy. There are a lot places to rest along the way, if needs be. The views from Coles Bay lookout and Wineglass Bay lookout are absolutely spectacular!

This lovely walk is a good workout. Know that it is quite steep in places-- my friend with bad knees couldn't get to the top. The way there is quite beautiful with interesting rock formations and lovely vistas. At the summit you are rewarded with...More

The walk to the lookout is not difficult; the paths are well gravelled and the steps are not steep. We walked this 10 years ago with my parents who were in their late 70's and the track is even better now. The climb is steep...More

I was told that in addition to being called Wine Glass because of its shape, it was also called that because in the whaling days it ran shiraz red. We arrived at this lookout after a day of walking so it was a welcomed finish...More

The Lighthouse Lookout would be your best bet. If you drop into the visitors centre on your way in the staff are very helpful.

The only ticket you need to buy is the one to get into the national park. You buy it at the information centre on the road in You don't need another ticket to do the walk. Enjoy
