Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great way to get a different perspective on this stunning landscape for our family of 4. Steve showed us unique wildlife - sea eagles and seals were the highlight. Followed by some fun fishing - Steve provided all the gear and bait and we caught and released a good variety. We had a lovely time.

Wow, what a way to spend a morning. This trip lived up to all our expectations. The skipper Kerry tailored our trip, focused on photography, to our exact needs. The scenery and cliffs of the Freycinet are truly spectacular and unlike anything we've seen before. The boat was well equiped and comfortable and the crew friendly and knowledgable, couldn't have asked for better.

We are returned customers with the Freycinet Charter. We travelled and enjoyed spearfishing twice with them during our last two Tasmania trips.
We are very lucky to have skippers Karl and Stephen on board, whom are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about fishing and fish species in the local areas. Karl is a scuba diver with 30yrs+ experiences who knows the water very well.
All of us had great times and amazing services with the Freycinet Charter both times. We will definitely choose them again when we come to Tassie in the near future.

We booked a four hour charter for a group of 12. We selected freycinet charters over a larger tour because of the ability to experience things that just can’t be done in a. Larger vanilla tour. Lived up to every expectation… Kerry was a great host we visited many unique spots with wildlife experiences and local history well explained by Kerry. Personalised charter gave us the chance to get up close to nature and get ashore on the fabulous beaches of freycinet. For our entire group this was the highlight of our time in Tassie. Thanks also to Stephen for advising on best use of the day and flexibility for our group.

A great day on the water with Kerry who was very generous with his time and knowledge. Kerry was clearly very familiar with the area and was able to show us the best spots and allow us to see dolphins, cormorants and seals during the day, not to mention the best beaches! A must if you have the day - made our entire trip!

In addition, Stephen was very helpful throughout and his refunds policy was very generous even though we thankfully didn't have to use it.

Our multigenerational family group loved this boat trip. Our skipper was friendly and considerate, and had great local knowledge. He worked with the mobility issues of one of our group to ensure everyone had a great time.

We loved being able to decide on the day where to go and what to do. The swim was freezing but worth it. A couple of us usually have trouble with seasickness but it was surprisingly ok, only the 4-year-old in our group got a queasy tummy after about 2 hours, on the way back.

The teenagers initially did NOT want to go but within 15 minutes they had big grins and thanked us for taking them, they didn't want the trip to end. A great win for the parents :)

We booked 3 hours and thought that would be plenty, but next time we'll definitely make it 5 hours to include some fishing and extra swimming & picnic time. The cup of tea halfway was much appreciated.

Budget wise - this trip is not cheap but it is great value and worth every cent. With 10 of us (max boat capacity), in comparison with a trip on a larger group boat it worked out to be similar pricing for a much more personal and relaxed experience.

A highly recommended activity while in Coles Bay, TAS. Kerry and Holly looked after us very well. They were accommodating to everything we wanted. They kept an eye on us to measure how we were going, specially when we hit the rougher waves. Once it became clear that we wanted the boat to go faster and that we were fine, he sure floored it to our delight.
If you want to expreience a bit of adventure while remaining safe and comfortable I will highly recommend this activity. You get to experience the islands up close and can dictate how long you stay at each of the places. If you choose to stay on the boat or get off it as many times you like. You can ask to stop at specific places. Take a little picnic and enjoy this experience. You won't regert it!

Skilled, experienced and friendly skipper. He showed us a seal and an eagle nest and other sights on the way. Comfortable, clean and fast boat.

A truly magical and unforgettable day. Bucket list ticked. Kerry and Kim were amazing hosts with a great knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area. We loved that the skipper tailor made our trip to our needs. The highlight was definitely lunch and a swim at wineglass bay. This is a must do trip. We will never forget this day.
