Stayed in our camper van for two days in February 2020. It’s run by the national parks and wildlife. Location is beautiful, however sites are very small and hard to manoeuvre into. After paying camping fees of $32 and a parks pass fee of $60, I was disappointed to see I also had to pay $2 each shower. There was only three unisex showers. All the showers were mouldy and needed cleaning. I don’t mind paying fees but please don’t charge for showers on top of that. We were only here for 3 weeks however had to buy a 2 month pass. But it is a stunning location.

Beautiful national park, but average. It’s not a unique beauty, nothing was extraordinary. Charging people $45 entry fee per walking person or per car makes no sense at all. Not even Cradle Mountain, a lot more beautiful, more well looked after and with transport included in the ticket, is this expensive. Not even Port Arthur, with all history and a boat trip included in the ticket is this expensive. Rip off!

Ridiculous pricing of passes - only wanted to go to Wineglass Bay car park and walk to look out as on tight schedule but only one option of day pass for $41 - 5 AUD than a year pass. This is holding tourists to ransom 😡 Totally believe in National Parks but this is not acceptable- need more options for tourist who are on limited time scales. Hold your heads in shame Australia National Parks!!

Unusal park in that there are some towns right there, so finding places to stay and eat could be easier.
We wanted to do the hike to see Wineglass Bay , as well ashore down to it. Neither are very far as long as you don't mind a couple of miles. We had a very clear sunny day and it was great. Plan on spending the entire day there.
It costs $12 each or $24 per car for the day.
Parking is VERY limited - so get there before the crowds - before 9 worked for us.

Cliffs, walks, hikes, wildlife, wildflowers, beautiful bays. Views to die for. Even while raining it was beautiful.
We chose a cabin at the Big 4 Iluka pity the previous occupants had cooked curry. The cabin reeked of it. It t permeated everything inside the cabin. Even the bedding reeked. If you come to Freycinet make it worth it. Stay somewhere really nice! We preserveered over 3 nights leaving windows and doors open to rid the curry stench. Next time we'll do the lodge.

A must visit national park when in Tasmania - home to the wonderful Wineglass Bay.

The coastal scenery here is spectacular. There is much more than Wineglass Bay but it clearly is the standout attraction. Plenty of good scenic walks, mountains to ascend, Cape Torville and its lighthouse, Honeymoon Bay.

The national park also has an excellent Visitors Centre and a number of campgrounds: we stayed in the powered campground section near to the Visitors Centre: could not be better located right on the foreshore with flush toilets and hot water showers at a very modest price. Need to book ahead for these spots as they are popular and are offered by a lottery over the key summer period.

Well signposted easy to follow. The views from the top are exquisite. Whether you you just do the short walks or go to the extra trouble of some more serious walks you will be greatly rewarded. There may be some huff and puff in some places, however just take it easy and you will get there and enjoy it. Don’t give up. Good clean toilets. Well defined tracks with good steps in places. Good lookouts. The lighthouse walk is just fabulous as well as the mountain walks. Some say it is a better park than Cradle Mountain. They are both different and both special in their own unique way.

the visitor centre in the park is worth stopping off to plan your visit. you need a visitor parking pass for a day or longer. they can explain what to do. you can slo book it on line ( print it out through) or they have envelopes in the car park that you can use to complete and pay if you are out of hours. the park is beautiful and something for everyone. Driving upo to the LIght house is something that most people can access with the pathways up there and brilliant views.

We took the hike up to the viewpoint over wineglass bay. Well marked and maintained track. Steep in places. Scenery was stunning, though view over Wineglass bay was slightly underwhelming and not as spectacular as generally advertised. We also visited the lighthouse and took the short boardwalk around there. Views here were spectacular.
Price for entry into the National park is high, but if you are likely to visit other parks (as we were) then it is good value. It takes a little while to reach the park entrance as the route is down a long peninsula. So make sure you have plenty of time to get there and to hike and enjoy the park when you are there.
