Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely little walk from the car park within Freycinet National Park down to the waters edge.
Many contrasting colours with the water and the orange in the rocks.
Very picturesque.
No bathrooms.
About 30 min return. Easy to moderate walk.

We stopped here on the way back from visiting the lighthouse, small car parking area but nice walk towards the coastline. You can walk for few minutes along the gravel path alongside the ocean or walk further down to the beach. There are a fair few steps to get down to the beach but not strenuous. Beach is small and surrounded by granite rocks. Nice little stopover.

It says 10mins return on the flyer and it says easy.. well.. it’s more like 20mins return and it wasn’t easy.. it wasn’t hard.. but certainly not easy like the boardwalk at the lighthouse.
The tiny beach was stunning.. water was crystal clear, large reddish boulders were gorgeous. We took a packed picnic lunch & blanket and spent a wonderful two hours in the sun, eating lunch, kids played in the water and we enjoyed snoozed too.
Many people came and went, many didn’t stay longer than a few minutes.
Water was surprisingly not freezing.. kids said it was good to play in but not quite warm enough for swimming.. and it was sunny and sheltered with very little wind.
Most rewarding destination for a short walk!! A couple of the kids voted this place the best place that we’ve visited throughout our Tassie holiday.

This is a lovely walk with a lovely surprise at the end. Check Tasmania's National Parks website for all the details on walks. This was grade 3 so some steeper parts but these are all stairs, but relatively short walk.

Stop in here on the way back from the Cape Tourville lighthouse. It is a short walk to the beach and you get lovely views of the rocks.

Nice beach with interesting rock formations. If you look closely under rocks and in rock pools you may find little crabs! A short distance from a lighthouse which is accessible and nice to explore.

We walked from Freycinet Lodge which was maybe 2 miles each way. Good walk on a tarmac road. The bay is just a bay but nice all the same.

Visited on Saturday 24th November. The views are amazing as soon as you leave the carpark. You can either do a short walk or go all the way down to the beach. Time didn't allow us to go to the beach which has a steep climb down. We just did the first few look out points.

Underrated gem in the Freycinet National Park. We visited with our toddler. Not accessible with a pram, you will need a hiking backpack. Amazing view and pebbly beach. Our 2 year old loved shovelling the pebbles with his spade. Be sure to pack a camera. Definitely worth a visit if you've got time, only about a 20 min walk.

The walk is mildly difficult and not suggested for those with mobility impairment as there are some steep steps down to the beach, however it would be an alright journey for the not so fit as it is a fairly short walk (just has a few hazards).
We enjoyed our visit here greatly as we lingered here for far to long exploring the rocks and taking photos of the wildlife we could spot (lizards, crabs). This fortunately became a major blessing as a pod of dolphins made their way in to the bay to pay all those there an unexpected visit. They were having fun jumping around and playing with each other out in the water which was a beautiful sight. I unfortunately was not carrying my proper camera and hardly managed to get a decent photo on my phone though which was a disappointment, but enjoying the moment was higher on the list.
We also managed to head down "Skyline Traverse" a short way to get a better view of the Dolphins as they headed on down the coast line and managed to get a few good pictures of the scenery.
