Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My Dad & I hired the BMW R80 and R100S for two weeks, last November and rode right around Tassie. The bikes didn't skip a beat.
The R80 is a great machine, easy to ride, sweet engine and good handling.
The R100S, being that bit older, is a more physical bike to ride. You really have to work it, which in itself is a great experience, but you can still throw it around the corners. You really get to know the bike and it's little quirks.
Bear in mind the bikes are classics and don't have all the electronic wizardry. No ABS, EFI, engine/suspension mapping etc. They weren't really early morning bikes, but we aren't early morning people either so we warmed up together. It's great to get back to basics and work with the bike.
Mike provided luggage for us, basic maintenance kit, full run through of the bikes and things to be mindful of.
Mike even took us on a day ride out of Devonport to Sheffield and circuit around Mt Roland. He's also got great suggestions for all parts of Tassie.
Dad & I had the best time and would recommend taking a ride on the older side, for a change.

My mate and I toured the north east of Tassie with Mike from Dragonfly Classics, on a CB750 honda and a beautiful BMW. Mike is an amazing tour guide and showed us roads and places we would never have found without him.
The bikes were perfect and nothing was too much trouble for Mike and his crew. How about a helicopter to follow a stage of the Targa rally? Great idea Mike and an incredible way to see Tassie's beautiful north east. Also a cruise on the old bikes to John's boutique Gin distillery. John gave us a guided tour and set us up to watch the Targa rally from his property. Highly recommended thanks Mike and Dragonfly Classics!
