Skirting the cliff line from the Tasman Arch car park, the trail to Waterfall Bay is a brilliant 1 hour return walk to via a hardened walking track. The trail follows the heathland for 300m before ducking on and off the cliff's edge. Multiple viewing platforms along the trail provide fantastic views of the tremendous coastline the peninsula is renowned for.

Bit more off the beaten track is a small car park with a few lookouts to see this bay. Walk about 15 mins further north to Patersons Arch for another good view of a sea cliff arch formation. Very few people come here so good chance to have the place to yourself. Road condition is unsealed but fine for standard 2WD.

Many other places in Tasman National Park get more traffic, but this was perhaps my favourite. There are a few lookouts all within a very short walk from the parking lot, and these have spectacular views to the ocean far below, with massive cliffs all around, and in the middle a quiet bay with clear turquoise water. When I was there a few divers were exploring the waters, and a seal was playing around a boat. The views were outstanding!
There are two ways to get here, and I used both. First of all, there's a 1.7km walk track from Devils Kitchen lookout, along a flat and wide gravel track. I jogged it to the end and back, which took me just under 40 minutes, and along the way there are multiple lookouts, all with incredible views, including another arch, and cliff walls towering above the ocean. The path should be a fairly easy walk for most, although it does have some ups and downs. The second way to get there is by driving 4km along a gravel road - it's pretty rough in places, and not many cars do this - it was actually fun negotiating holes and ridges in the narrow gravel road!
Either way, it takes a little more effort to get here than some of the other more well known attractions in Tasman National Park, but the views make it absolutely worth it - do the walk if you can!

Unfortunately we couldn't see the waterfall flowing but good views can be had from the platform at the car park, well worth a stop.

The walk was easy and it takes around 1 hr return.It starts at the end of devils kitchen carpark.There are a lot of lookout stops to take photos.Nice scenery and peaceful.Recommended!

We walked around the path from the Devils Kitchen, Tasman Arch to Waterfall Bay. It was about a 5K round walk with lots of stops for photographs at the various lookout points. Wonderful scenery and well worth doing. Some up and down hill but the paths are well maintained and reasonbly easy for a healthy person. Our group in their mid sixties did it comfortably.

Firstly, if you prefer to drive to the last few lookouts, Waterfall Bay rd will take you directly there. We started at the end of Waterfall Bay Rd and walked down to Devil's Kitchen etc (most people start down the bottom, go up & back) and you'll find the 6 or so lookouts up the top before you decend. If you are short on time, start at the top and check out a few of the lookouts there. Very easy walk, after about half way down to Devil's Kitchen I ran back to get the car and drove down to Devils kitchen while my husband and my 1 year old in the toddler carrier backpack walked down the rest of the track and I met them there. Excellent weather.

My partner and I loved this track. It's 3.4 km return and offers great views all throughout. There are about 6 viewing platforms along the way, all pretty well spread out. The final view is stunning and well worth the walk. The track is quite easy, and is even, but in some parts is a little steep. We took our time, took a break along the way, and took lots of photos and finished the track very comfortably in 1.5 hours (we are not that fit). Highly recommend, and a free attraction!

Worth a visit... very beautiful and refreshing sight. It is an amazing piece of nature masterpiece. It is within the vicinity of Tasman Arch.

Nice easy walk, you don't need to be too fit with nice easy gradient slopes, no stairs. View is breath taking with plenty of lookout spots along the way

This whole area is just amazing, if you are in Hobart it is worth coming down to visit the area and spending a few days if possible. There is a lot to see.
