I went to this restaurant years ago and had hopes that there might be a change in the menu but change neer happens and if it does it happens very slowly. There was a slight change in the menu, I had two options instead of one in a menu that has over twenty options. As usually the food options were nothing more than a barrage of dead flesh and animal discharge., a revolting set of options. Its always fun scouring through a menu rejecting every optionfinding one or two vegan options if you are lucky. There was one stand out, the banana curry, it sounded interesting with a myriad of cheap ingredient maxing out at thirty dollars. falling in line with all the over priced garbage scribbled out on a sickening menu. How much are you gonna charge for chick peas, bananas and rice? I can collect those things from woolies for no more than a dollar if I was to use the ratios they used. So I was adventurous, cunningly deviating away form the norm, drawing the wild card. How was it? well, the mashed banana sandwiches my mother made me as an infant were nicer. Its not uncommon to find chefs whose only talent lies in roasting dead flesh accompanied by a couple of boiled veggies. The meal had no curry in it, there was basically no flavour and the white jasmine rice? Well its hard to say that is filled with bold flavours. Last time I went there chat potatoes were the only vegan option and served as a main, it was good to see they turned that into a side dish and not a main dish. Like I said, change is a slow process. Like most restaurants, thje menu was a morose ship wreck.

Great fare - a variety of cold beers and friendly and helpful staff make The Central a great place to visit. Sunday night dinner of stuffed flathead mignon took the prize - uniquely enjoyable. Susan few Moo Dark Ales to accompany - can't go wrong.
