I'm John, I live here in Devonport, Tasmania and offer visitors the chance for small groups (max 4 ppl) to go sightseeing and to visit some local places of interest from light house, lookout, steam train and maritime museum, visit local wineries, cider house, breweries and more. Lets take a ride and visit the town of Murals, Sheffield. Or the town of Penguin, maybe take a tour to Cradle Mountain. Maybe you would like a wine and Chocolate tour, based around the area of Devonport

John's half-day tour was my fabulous introduction to Tassie. I asked to see places related to agriculture and food production big scale. He also took me to visitor-favourite sites and sights. We had a wide-ranging conversation the entire time. What John showed and spoke about really set me up for the next 3 weeks.
My overseas phone wasn't working, and then the Spirit arrived late and I truly appreciate the efforts John made to try to confirm our arrangements, given I was unable to do so.
And he doesn't have a 2 or 4 person minimum for this tour.

We had a very enjoyable tour with our guide John and just the 4 of us rather than a coach full of fellow cruise passengers . It was so good to spend some time with a local person who knows the area so well and John is very generous both with his time and his knowledge as well as being a man with a great sense of humour plus a huge enthusiasm for sharing his Tasmania. We saw everything on the itinerary including lovely Cradle Mountain area and John shared some not-in-the-guidebook quirky details which were very interesting
We swapped contact details as soon as we got to Australia which meant that we could keep each other well informed of any inevitable changes to things such as our arrival time.

John is a knowledgeable entertaining and flexible operator with his clients best interest at heart. He makes it his business to get to know what people want and makes every effort to deliver. John's you is highly recommended, you can't go wrong!

Great trip with John, we packed in a lot of sights on our day trip from Burnie. He has lots of knowledge and catered for our cruise times and places we all wanted to see. 10/10

We had a wonderful private excursion with John to the Cradle Mountain.
We are traveling on a cruise ship. John picked us up at cruise port and brought us back in time.
Eloquent, friendly, kind, excellent driver, proud Devonporter and full of stories. Very knowledgeable about the past and present and good eye for what his guest want.
John walks with you in the national
Park and shows you the most beautiful spots.
We took a different route on the way back, giving us more time to see other aspects of Tasmania. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely day with John on a shore day excursion from a cruise ship. If you want a private tour without the cattle call of a cruise booked excursion, John is the guide for you. He strikes the perfect balance of informative involvement and respectful distance to enjoy the experience. He is knowledgeable and engaging. He goes out of his way to show you the Tassie culture and landscape. Highly recommend!
