Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sometimes you stumble upon somewhere special when all you initially want is a nice cup of tea. Kaydale Lodge is one such place. My wife chose the excellent soup and I had the Devonshire Tea. All home cooked and wonderful. Great service from the joint-owner in a very pleasant environment. The garden looked magnificent, but we didn't have time to vist.

I called in today for a light lunch on my way to Leven Canyon, what a beautiful tranquil spot with the best home cooked lunch which was amazing. I read the family book during lunch dedicated by the sisters to their parents, such a beautiful story on the dedication and hard work of the family and how the property evolved over the years to the magnificent gardens it is today. I admired the new stone wall at the front on my way out, your determination and foresight is amazing, it looks amazing, well done, so many talents 🥰

Stopped here flor lunch after visiting leven Canyon.

Did a set lunch ($20 at the time) which included homemade bread and soup, desert and a drink. Gluten free bread and desert options were available. We had hot chocolates to drink. Enjoyable lunch: just what was needed after an envigorating walk at Leven canyon.

The gardens were pretty and well worth a stroll around after lunch.

VERY friendly owners at this superb garden. Morning/afternoon tea is well worth stopping for, and while you are there you can buy a copy of the delightful book tracing the history of the property ($12), and interesting details re plantings

After visiting Leven Canyon we called in for lunch. We had a light lunch of soup, bread rolls (freshly home baked) and stewed blackberries. We were offered more bread and soup which was delicious and made from vegetables grown in the garden. The walk around the garden was peaceful and beautiful. As we were leaving we were given a beautiful bunch of daffodils. I would highly recommend visiting this stunning family run garden.

very overpriced food. portions not very generous, Soup (average) plus roll plus instant coffee plus very sweet çaramel tarts (which I couldnt eat). And in addition to your $20 for lunch you have to pay to see the garden.
The gardens are pretty .
