About
We Provide transport to and from Cradle Mountain and Lake St Clair from anywhere is Tasmania 7 days a week, we are an on demand service happy to meet your time and location for pickup. We cater to passengers walking the overland track with drop offs to the start of the track and pickup at then end, we can store your bags for you while you complete the walk and we even sell gas canisters for your cookers on the bus. We also provide transport to most other walking tracks in northern Tasmania

David (or to us, Dave) was an absolute legend. He made our journey from Launceston to Cradle Mountain incredibly enjoyable. Played great tunes, kept spirits high. I hope this guy gets employee of the month every month. Given Dave picked us up before the sun had even risen, he was able to bring energy into the mini bus that made us all look forward to the trip ahead of us. He got us to Cradle Mountain with plenty of time so we didn’t feel rushed upon arrival at the visitor centre. He stopped in a small town for us to get coffee too, what a great guy. Wonderful man, wonderful company. Terry drove us back, incredibly efficient and made great jokes. Even thought we were asleep half the time (so tired after doing the overland track) we could feel the beauty of tassie as he zoomed through it. 10/10 recommend this company.

Highly recommended! What fantastic service. We took the coach from Lake St Claire to Hobart after having finished the Overland Track. The coach was clean and tidy and the drive was very comfortable (not rushed, no motion sickness despite the winding roads). Our driver Pat even offered us some local cherries to try on our way there. We accidentally forgot to return our Personal Locator Beacon (PBL) on the final day and the team at Cradle Mountain Coaches got us in touch with Pat to arrange for a drop off of the PBL device at the Lake St Claire visitor centre from Hobart. Will certainly come back to Cradle Mountain Coaches next time I am in town.

You can’t beat this transport for service! It took me a while to find a service that transport during winter. These guys do for a better price than hiring your own car and driving in snow and ice. We had Terry going to Cradle Mountain and David coming back to Launceston. Both guys were highly knowledgeable about the area and gave us some awesome commentary and conversation on the 2 hour trip. They were also amazing drivers, we felt safe the entire time. The bus was nice and tidy. The trip was great. Totally recommend this service!

Cradle mountain coaches brought us exceptionally great experience in supporting our overland hiking trip. Very flexible and approachable. They would like to pick us and drop off separate group at different location, help to amend our trip at last minute. Defo will find them for our next trip. Much appreciate to Cassie, Jorja in booking and David for the lift.

We were delayed by two hours and Cradle Mountain Coaches driver, Ian, waited patiently for us at Lake St Clair. We were extremely grateful to Ian. Lovely clean, modern coach - highly recommend.

This was the second time, in twelve months, we have used Cradle Mountain coaches for transport for our hikes. The first was from Launceston to Cradle mountain and Lake St Clair back to Hobart, with our bags being stored and transferred for us as well. The drivers were friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the vans are comfy with room for all the backpacks. Pat was our driver on the Hobart leg and I was happy to see him again on our latest trip to the Three Capes Walk. He was early, as usual, and as helpful as I had remembered. We stopped for coffee in Dunally and then Pat suggested a lookout and a stop at the tessalated pavement before another stop to stash our supplies at Stewart’s bay lodge. He then picked us up here six days later and again, suggested scenic and interesting stops before our return to Hobart. So, it’s not just transport but you get a mini tour as well, making it good value if you have a few people. Highly recommend Pat and this company for the little touches that make you feel looked after,

We used Cradle Mountain Coaches to get from Launceston to our accommodation near Cradle Mountain. The service was fantastic. Our driver was more than accommodating and offered to take us to the local shops or stop off for lunch or a toilet break on the way. He also provided jetboil gas to some of the hikers we picked up from the airport, which I thought was a great idea. 10/10 recommend.

David who took our overland track group to lake st Clair is an exceptional, kind and patient person. The bus is on time, the service is responsible. Will definitely book with them next time in Tassie.

Took the shuttle from Cradle mountain accoms to Launceston car rental. Service provided was great as we were able to choose the timing and locations. Our driver Terry even helped us take some family photos when it snowed just before we checked out. And Jorja was efficient in replying my various emails.

Fantastic service! We took the shuttle from Launceston to cradle mountain to begin the overland track and then back to Launceston from lake st Clair. Both drivers were friendly and informative. We also were able to store our extra luggage with them while we were out on the hike, perfect đź‘Ť. Thanks guys.
