What an amazing experience. My husband surprised me with the flight. We were blessed with perfect weather and the mountain had a recent dump of snow so an added bonus of experiencing cradle mountain covered in snow. Our pilot Charlie was brilliant. A fantastic flight. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

The views were amazing as was the pilot. He gave us a rundown on what we were seeing without talking too much. We took great photos and it was the highlight of our trip to Tasmania. We didn't have the time or the energy to walk around this area so this was a great alternative.

What a great experience it was awesome to see Cradle Mountain from the air. It was a large helicopter, big windows to take in all the views & a friendly helicopter. Worth every cent was a great experience!

Such an amazing experience and highly recommend this adventure! The views are incredible, all over Cradle and beautiful view of Dove Lake. The pilot was great and chatted through the headset giving really good information on the region. Blown away and I’m scared of heights but that didn’t last long.

We booked a custom scenic flight (approx. 45 minutes) and having kept an eye on the weather forecast, and as we knew it could be changeable in the Cradle area we stopped by their office near the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre on our arrival to check on the forecast for the following day (date booked). After a chat with the lovely Rebecca and checking with the pilot, we decided to move our flight forward to that afternoon to avoid a potential cancellation due to poor weather the next day. Sure enough, it was the right decision as the next day started out with very low cloud and drizzle, which didn't clear up until later in the afternoon.
We received a safety briefing before take off. Our flight took us over some of the most stunning and unspoiled scenery in Tasmania, and the far-reaching views were amazing. Our pilot (Josh IIRC) provided excellent commentary along the way.
Cradle Mountain Helicopters offer a variety of flights and while our custom flight was a real treat, their regular flights (we've taken one before) are a fantastic way to see the beauty of Cradle Mountain National Park from above.

Amazing views of Cradle Mountain and the surrounding lakes, Our family of four opted for the 20 minute scenic flight which was an amazing experience, our pilot was very informative and the ground staff were very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend to do this if you have the opportunity while you are in the national park to view it from a helicopter.

The whole experience was fantastic, the pilot Josh is very professional and knowledgeable about the area and made it such fun. Bec the office girl was also great and made the booking process very easy, and was also very professional.

Amazing experience and provided great perspective of the national parks’ features. Great pilot (Nic) who was knowledgeable and friendly and mindful of how we were feeling about the experience. We were fortunate to have perfect weather and had an hour in the air.

Flights start for the two of you at $270 total and move
Up from there if you have a friend bring them along as this reduces the cost. Give the office a call to discuss options if you prefer

Cost & time for a tour of 4 adults
We have loads of options and times to pick from, we run standard office hours of 9am to 5 pm, we are happy to fly outside of these times by prior appointment. Our pricing starts from $112 per person if there was the 4 adults. I would suggest that if all 4 of you are happy that you look at our longer trips, all of our flights are listed on our web page with costings, alternatively you can simply charter us and tell us what your budget is and we will design a flight specifically for you. If you have any questions at all please let us know or call the office and have a chat.

Can a family of 2 adults and 4 children all take a ride together in one helicopter? Kids are 12, 11, 8 and 5.
Yes you can providing that the total weights are within the machine limits. It would be best to chat with our pilots if you have any specific questions. We look forward to taking you up in the skies!
