Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good information on the local area, shop and bathrooms.

Shoe cleaning. End point or start point for Overland walk.

4G better for Telstra.

Terrific starting place for many lake St Clair walks.

Excellent cafe!

Jetty for water taxi.

Stopped for lunch on the way from Hobart to Strahan. Sat outside in the sun. Good food options. Good shop. Clean toilets. Good short walks to the beach and lake.

I used to live around Lake St Clair from 2014 for 3.5 years while working in the area, the park Rangers are some of the friendliest people, they give you best information about the area and always happy to help in difficult situation. Lake St Clair itself has so much nice walks for you to do, from the Overland track, platypus bay walk, Narcissus hut walk, Mt Rufus Circuit, or if you only have a short stop just simply visit the Jetty will offer you some breathtaking view!
Bernard, Frank, Natsuko, and everyone who is still there! hi from Airlie beach! hope you guys having a great winter! :) Cheers, Maruly

Upon arrival we were provided with shuttle details, how the boom gate works, itineraries for various walks etc. We showed them our "Holiday Vehicle Pass" and were given a shuttle ticket should we require it. Enormous parking area with friendly wombat near the offices. Did you know their scats are cubic, or is that too much info !

There is a cafe attached to the lodge adjacent to this visitors centre.

The VC serves as a pace to register your multi day walk, has history & information about the area and potential walks, and a small variety of hiking essentials available to purchase
