The Nant Distillery produces handcrafted single malt whisky in the central highlands of Tasmania. Located just 1 hour from Hobart, and two hours from Launceston, visit Nant and enjoy a tour of the distillery and the old convict water mill built in 1823 by Edward Nicholas. Visit the estate 7 days a week between the hours of 10am and 4pm, and enjoy a guided tour at 11am or 3pm. The Nant Estate Restaurant opens from Thursday through to Monday from 12-3pm. Book at master class or simply enjoy a whisky tasting in the superb Nant Atrium Lounge and Whisky bar.

After a very chequered history this place has closed - apparently in receivership. Their phone voice message says closed for due diligence, audit etc. This is the second time we have attempted to visit Nant without success.

Hi Mark if you mean Christchcurch NZ, you will be nowhere near the Nant Distillery which is in Tasmania:)
