Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Enjoy, respectfully strolling through the church and surrounds. Great for anybody interested in History of the First Fleeters.

It is not easy to find the historically interesting and relevant buildings in Windsor. Don’t go on a Tuesday when the art gallery, the museum and the information centre all managed to be closed. Better still, check online before you head off to the town what days they see fit to open the museums etc. At least the library was open and had some leaflets. So it’s all left to Google and the like. There are no signposts to this church which is an architectural gem and of great historical interest. And there is the bonus that it is set in a graveyard with fascinating gravestones and memorials. The church was unlocked and its interior is as interesting as its exterior style. Do not miss the two story Rectory just along the street.

Visited here several times with my mother who does family research. Some very old graves dating back to convict settlement. Have not attended church here just wandered through the graveyard reading the head stones

Considered a masterpiece of the convict architect Francis Greenway and one of the most beautiful Colonial era buildings
in Australia.
The site looking towards the Hawkesbury River and the Blue Mountains was selected by Governor Macquarie.
The corner stone laid in October 1817, the building consecrated in December 1822, with famous cleric Samuel Marsden conducting the opening service.
Predating the church is the burial ground which includes notable Hawkesbury citizens.
The Rectory near by is the oldest in Australia, built by William Cox to the plan of an unknown architect. It is of exceptional design, with two story brick stable at the rear.
