Went to the Museum and was very impressed. Loved the paintings and walking around reading up on the history of the area. It is not expensive and worth every cent.

Well worth a visit. Staffed by local volunteers. The highlight is the series of paintings by Phillip Pomroy of Thunderbolt. Interesting articles including about Chinese on Rocky River diggers and 'old stuff' - agricultural etc under main museum

The museum consists of three floors of historical items that range from gold rush memorabilia to personal items of the bushranger Captain Thunderbolt. We were captivated by the vintage firetrucks, horsedrawn vehicles and antique tools. A definite mustsee if in Uralla.

Absolutely fantastic museum. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy this informative and enjoyable museum. It is an absolute bargain at $7 entry for adults. It is the best museum I have visited in a long time. Congratulations to the people of Uralla.
