This place has it all! Not only does it promote local attractions, but the entire blue mountains area AND NSW! If you ever wanted info for your visit that is constantly updated, stop here first! We're glad we did! You can even read flyers and take a rest in the giant lantern!

Have driven past innumerable times over the years and finally dropped in for a look see! The miners lamp design has always stood out & impressed me and is a tribute to the designers. A little Centre but as usual, friendly & informative staff ever present and happy to help & hint. Make it your first stop in Lithgow, not Maccas!

We were passing through Lithgow and needed information about road closures for our drive back to Canberra.
The lady who helped us gave us lots of information and a few options.
The centre itself is very well set up with lots of information.
We got great service and really appreciate it.

This is the best Info centre we have been to on our travels. The lady who assisted us was very knowledgeable and gave us maps and pointed out things we could do. She was very helpful.

The big miners lamp honours Lithgow’s coal mining and industrial history and the well informed team at the visitor information centre will assist in maximising your visit. Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the local area, this should be your first stop when exploring the Lithgow region.

Lithgow is a town with a rich Industrial heritage- as early as the 1840's coal was being extracted to fuel the economy. The structure of the visitor centre represents a Miners safety lamp which was used to detect flammable gases in mines, and to reduce the danger of explosions.
