Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took a group of 32 people to this museum. What a collection of items from past history. Ian and all off the wonderful volunteers provided us with lunch - lovely fresh country homemade sandwiches and slices. Thanks to all.

What an amazing place to visit so so much to see and brings back lots of memories of my childhood. Friendly staff. We were only there for 1 hour as we were passing through but could have spent so much longer. Well worth a visit

The elderly gentlemen that run this place do a great job -well done to them. Plus the little shop has air conditioning, very nice and cool on Gunnedah’s hot summer days. Plus, they don’t care if your single or married, all are welcome!

Wonderful place, it’s more than learning about local history, it’s like stepping back in time and learning about the history of overall regional Australia.

Out the back there is a section on the Grosser family who are the farming pioneers of the area. Very interesting to learn about especially now that everything has changed with development etc.

This place is amazing so much interesting stuff to see, everything from old Arnotts tins to tractors, it is enormous, shed after shed of Australian history being preserved and all by volunteers. Staff friendly, welcoming and informative. Very reasonably priced $5 for seniors, adults eight totally worth it. Don’t miss it if you’re in Gunnedah!!

Loved learning about the Grosser family who were pioneers of the area. It's important holding onto the history of a town as we progress into the future.

Excellent and much bigger than I expected. Several “I had one of those” moments!
Visited while staying with friends who are local.

This is probably one of the best Rural museums I have ever visited
We walk in and are greeted by the friendliest volunteers, true country hospitality
You get a map to show what is where and the volunteers explain it all, and are there for questions later
So many sheds with rows and rows of history
Machinery, home wares, history frozen in time
You could spend hours there, was a hot day but we did about 2 hours there.
Highly recommend
