Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is certainly worth a visit to gain a sense of the dimensions of the Liverpool Plains area as you look south towards the Breeza Plains and east to the Great Divide and the Nandewar Ranges.

You can walk or drive up here, I chose to walk. Good way to keep fit, and a rewarding view at the top. There is a picnic table and parking at the top too.

On the south of Gunnedah, Porcupine Lookout provides an excellent elevated view across the plains. Well worth the detour.

Great views of the Liverpool plains from along the ridge line. Trails not well sign posted and cross numerous fire trails and dirt bike tracks, ending up being very confusing. Two walks in different areas of the ridge and no signs of any Koalas (or any other wildlife for that matter), perhaps the drought had a bigger impact than previously thought.

Drove up to the top then did a walk (50min round trip) along the ridge. Nice views over the surrounding country.

Beautiful views of Gunnedah And surrounds. Glad we had taken the caravan off but otherwise not a difficult drive. Worth the drive.

Not far out of town this lookout gives you a wonderful view over the town of Gunnedah and the surrounding Liverpool Plains.
Several viewing points and lots of parking. Certainly well worth a visit especially at dawn or in the evening for sunset.

Another nice spot to visit when in Gunnedah. Caravanners please note, not a good drive to tow caravan, hairpin turns and very narrow in places. Once at the top you will find great views of Gunnedah and for the more adventurous there are several walking tracks available. Several tables/seats but no BBQ's or toilets. Great spot for the photographers.
