Beautiful acreage of rhododendrons, azaleas, amongst wonderful gum trees. Walking tracks through the bush, up hill and down dale, over little bridges across billabongs. A total delight. Volunteer run cafe during the magic of Rhodo Festival (first week in November). Gold coin donation and excellent...More

Thank you so much for your review. Aren't the Gardens magic? Even in Winter there are native shrubs flowering and a miriad of birdlife. Your visits are welcomed.

An easy 15 minute walk from Wentworth St (near the station). Admission by gold coin donation. There are name tags for most of the plants. If only there could be a map available at the entrance, it would be better.

Thank you for your comments Serene Ther should have been a map (yellow) for you to pick up at the booth where you placed your donation. I will check to see that they are there. Kind regards.

If you are into colour and birds visiting different plants this place is a must. It may have been autumn but it was alive with life and colour.

Thank you for your review - we are so pleased you enjoyed the Gardens even though the Rhodos themselves are not flowering. Hope your daughter enjoyed the Rhodosaurus on the Island in the Lake.

Unfortunantly we are visiting in the wrong season! I can see that this garden would be stunning when in full bloom! Still lovely for a walk, lots of little paths to wander around.More

Thank you for reviewing. Yes the CRG is at is best between Sept - November when the Rhodos & Azaleas are in full bloom. It is also quite spectacular in Autumn when the deciduous trees change colour however as you discovered it is a wonderful...More

Visited Blackheath for the rhododendron festival and the local art & craft shop told us about this lovely garden. Put it at the top of your "to do" list in Blackheath! Run by wonderful volunteers, they do an absolutely amazing job!!!

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments Seeing the Gardens in mist is certainly my preferred option. The moisture in the air ads a gentleness to the scene that harsher Aussie sun does not. You are so right about regular visits - the scenes...More
