Dont do it. Not worth the money! Our hotel told us we needed to be ready to leave by 7:30 am, however we didnt leave from the pier for 2 more hours! At the marina, you are told you need a hat, bug spray, waterproof cases (etc.) so that you feel obligated to buy these items at the shops. I... More

The town of Yelapa is beautiful and most of the local people are very friendly. The ride to Yelapa, likely depending on the time of day and time of year, is quite a choppy ride and you may want to consider some anti-nausea meds prior to your trip. The snorkeling variety is also likely dependent on season. Once at Yelapa,... More

Our hotel recommended we leave by 730 for the tour that doesn't depart until 9 at the earliest. This is scam #1 to get you to the marina so you can by more drinks and trinkets. We ending up arriving at 845 and still had plenty of time as the tour didn't leave until 10:00. The 50 min boat ride... More

One needs to make reservation. The boat is small and the crossing takes 45 minutes, depending on the weather.

Not worth the visit - the organisation is good and the crew fantastic but not clearly advertised- you can go snorkelling on the way to Yelapa which we decided not to do as it was apparently very cold once in the sea you then move onto Yelapa to be told you have 2 options. 1. walk upto the waterfall and... We went to Yelapa and we're very disappointed. The beach was overcrowded, full of vendors constantly approached to buy stuff. Nothing to do but sit on the beach eat or drink. It was awful trying to leave! Waited for 1.5 hours to get a water taxi. No schedule! Do yourself a favour and don't go!

We took the snorkeling and sea-kayaking trip with the tour of Yelapa. The crew was fantastic from the moment they greeted us at the port—professional, service-oriented, and entertaining. I was impressed at how they were able to transition seamlessly between various roles, maintaining our safety and comfort with the appearance of effortless coordination. The snorkeling, quality of the Yelapa tour,... More

We stayed at the Barcelo Mismaloya hotel close to Yelapa and should have booked one of the local panga boat captains to take us to Yelapa. The Adventures Tour party boat was too busy, with poor lunch service. Very poor snorkeling, and the trip to the falls just became a tourist trap. We did break away from the group and... More

We came to escape the noisy hotel resort vibe. Yelapa gave us that for a day. We caught the water taxi from the Los Muertos pier ( end of Malecon board walk) there are kiosks that sells the water taxi fare. From there travel time took 45 mins, be patient since they use these water taxi to haul their market... More
