Allow a good hour to visit this villa. Some of the mosaics are the best I've ever seen and are insitu. The buildings put up in the 1800's give a feel of how things must have been in Roman times.

We had a great time here when we took our grandchildren aged 7 and 9 and they thoroughly enjoyed walking around seeing the mosaics trying on the helmets etc. A great family afternoon. THANKYOU Jacky & Greville

Firstly the villa is set in beautiful Sussex countryside. Enjoy the drive through small pretty villages. The villa itself has a great view of the South Downs. This is a small family operation with a little tea room. The mosaics are stunning. Well worth a...More

Visited on a lovely sunny Sunday, wonderful location, amazing mosaics of great quality. Lots of information available. Loved the fact this is a family affair not a commercial attraction. Reminded me of days out with my family in the 1970's. Great little cafe serving home...More

Bignor was on my bucket list. Although only a 12th of the Villa is uncovered what is on show is beautiful. The mosaics are of a fantastic quality not only in remains but in the artistic value. They were produced by a fine craftsman. To...More

Found it so interesting. There is a walkway around so you can view all the lovely mosaics and other Roman finds. A cafe is on site. Would recommend it.

A lovely drive past thatched cottages and English country gardens, then windy lanes to this spectacular site. The mosaics, especially the long pavement are breath taking, and so peaceful a place to visit.

Why do tourists go to Cornwall when it's colder, wetter and more difficult to get to than West Sussex. Here in this beautiful county are treasures galore. One such is Bignor Roman villa, set in an extraordinary landscape close to the South Downs largely in...More

The children were given a quiz with a price, which was great, because it gave us a focus. The signage is quite hodgepodge and although informative could probably do with some tidying up. So why the high rating from me? Because this place is so...More

I am uncertain, but it is only a half hour drive from Horsham, if you have difficulty finding out let me know it is only a 10 minute drive from me.
