    Wonderful Wine Tour
The stunning location, perfect weather, delicious food and exceptional wines would have been enough to make it memorable, however Alex our tour guide, truly made the day exceptional. He struck the perfect balance between providing informative insights about the wines and the winemaking process and injecting humour into the tour. His jovial demeanour and friendly personality added to the relaxed ambiance of the day. Each wine was paired beautifully with local Sussex produce which really enhanced the experience. I would thoroughly recommend the Cheese and Wine tour, it’s the perfect gift idea for both wine connoisseurs and novices.
We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit to us so much and I will pass your feedback onto Alex. Thank-you for taking the time to review us, it is greatly appreciated and we hope to welcome you here again! Best wishes from The Bolney Team

Wonderful place to visit & learn
Returned with a friend to celebrate her birthday after I had been taken a few months by another friend for mine. Although v early October we were blessed with a sunny day. All the fruit was nearly ready to harvest. When I visited in June fruit was just tiny pips on vine. We could see inside the business end in June but not in October. Guide was excellent. Amazing knowledge imparted to us and no hint of wine snobbery. Tasting foods paired with wines is excellent and platter for lunch v yummy. Shame the products sold on site aren’t as cheap as in Waitrose!
Dear Ruth We're delighted to hear that you returned to visit us again and had such a lovely time! Thank-you for taking the time to review us and all of your feedback has been passed on to our management team. Best wishes from The Bolney Team

50th birthday treat to Bolney Wine Estate.
Visited the Bolney Wine Estate today with my husband and took part in a morning cheese and wine tasting session. It was a fantastic venue, well catered for. Very impressed with the host (Ian) eloquently spoken, knows his business. Highly recommend the wine and cheese tour. Tried restaurant afterwards and equally as pleased with quality of food and service. 5 stars all round.
Thank-you for taking the time to share your experience with us, we really appreciate your feedback and are delighted to hear that you had such a lovely time! We hope to welcome you back again. Best wishes from The Bolney Team

    Sunday afternoon well spent 🥂
I came on Sunday with my 3 friends for lunch and drinks and it was such a lovely experience. All staff members are very friendly and polite. The atmosphere was lovely and the views of the vineyard are beautiful. The white and rose wines were so delicious and perfectly chilled. The Sunday roast was really tasty, I had the veggie one and I really enjoyed it. Overall a lovely afternoon with the girls! Thank you Bolney 🥂

    Exceptional
We visited Bolney Wine Estate for a tour and wine tasting. I have to say it was an excellent and enjoyable tour - thank you William for teaching us such a lot about the vines and how the wine is made. The wine tasting was relaxed and well worth it. The wines were exceptionally good and we thought good value. We then had a toasted sandwich and coffee in the cafe for lunch - again lovely. All of the staff were very friendly and the shop had some interesting things to buy. We will definitely be back.
We're very glad to hear that you enjoyed your tour and visit with us and that William looked after you so well! Thank-you for taking the time to let us know and we very much hope to see you again. Best Wishes from The Bolney Team

    Fantastic wine tour and tasting
Amazing experience. We had a very insightful tour led by our tour guide, Ian, who is extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Learnt lots from him. The tasting was also brilliant, the wines taste amazing and the cheese pairings were very thought through. Went above and beyond to cater for my vegan dietary needs as well!
It is lovely to read about your visit with us and Ian - we will share your feedback with him! We are so pleased that you enjoyed your tour. Thank-you for taking the time to share your experience with us, we very much appreciate all feedback that we receive and look forward to welcoming you here again in the future, Best wishes from The Bolney Team

    Faultless Sussex venue
A fantastic venue offering a choice of a new, informal cafe or their updated sit-down restaurant with views across the vineyard. Both options have tasty, locally sourced menus, gorgeous decor and - importantly - welcoming, friendly and very professional staff. We’ve never been disappointed after visiting Bolney and our most recent brunch was perfect. Highly recommended.

    Fabulous experience
I booked the Ultimate Food & Wine Tour for my friend’s birthday. We had such a lovely time. Ian the host was great, very knowledgeable and entertaining. The wine was delicious and it’s fascinating to match the wine to cheese, meat and even white chocolate! The lunch was a lovely spread of more cheese and meats. I was definitely a little tipsy by the end. Highly recommend this, perfect for friends, couples or large groups. I came home with a lovely selection of wine which I’m looking forward to drinking.

    Excellent
My husband and I dine regularly at both the Restaurant and Cafe. The food choices in both are excellent and presentation and quality is superb. I particularly love the variety of small plates in the restaurant and the ‘pick and mix’ deli platter option in the cafe. Sticky toffee pudding in the restaurant and red velvet cake in the cafe are truly delicious. The Bolney Pink Cuvee Rosé is a favourite as is the coffee they serve. A real standout is the people who work in both the restaurant and cafe. Bolney seems to have a knack of employing lovely people who are all very helpful and friendly. Thank you, in particular, to Katy in the cafe who always looks after us superbly and is excellent. To top it all the venue itself is stunning, both upstairs and downstairs, and is surrounded by fabulous views of the vineyards. We’ve frequented several of the vineyards in the vicinity and this is very much our favourite. We love it and highly recommend a visit.
Thank-you for your review; we are delighted to read that you enjoy our small plates, cakes and drinks when you visit us! We hope to welcome you here again soon! Best Wishes from The Bolney Team

    Informative afternoon
We booked a ultimate wine tasting tour. It was very informative and fun. You got to taste six wine which had food pairing, we enjoyed most of the wines and were definitely very interested by the way different food changed the way you appreciate the flavours in the wine. After which we had a sharing plater of cheese and ham. My only complaint was the price of the glass of wine you were encouraged to buy with your plater. We were told to buy a bottle as it was cheaper then two glasses, no mention of the price which was £35.00 for the bottle. I think you should be up front with your price. But we did have a wonderful afternoon.
It is lovely to read about your visit with us, we appreciate your honest feedback and it will be passed on to our management team. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your tour. If you would like to discuss your comments about the wine prices further with us, please contact us at customerservice@bolneywineestate.com Best wishes from The Bolney Team

Originally booked an afternoon tea but changed to a gourmet meal at 1630. Lovely setting, shame we couldn't get a seat in the sun before the tour. Very interesting talk and tour by Zoe, good social distancing. Lucky it was a sunny day, made the vienyard look special. Started with some sparkling wine, then after the tour matched 6 wines with local cheeses, finishing with smoke smoked trout. Wines were good, but a bit pricey. Also had a nip of their gin and vermouth. Food wasn't bad, very nice mini cakes to finish with. A lovely way to spend a late summer afternoon.

Really awful friday evening wine tour /…
Really awful friday evening wine tour / tasting / food experience involving 6 of us for a special birthday. When we complained afterwards, the manager called back early the following week and dismissed our concerns out of hand…. Unbelievable….. The food was very mediocre and minimalistic, the room we were shepherded through to reminded me of a work conference room and felt very sterile, the opening words from the host was really poor (zero humour/zero charisma), the wine was good but the samples were minimalistic. Looking around the room towards the end of the evening, for which about 20 people each paid £65/ head - there was a general air of disappointment / expectations dashed. To top it all when I quietly requested some paracetomal (ended up in A&E later in the evening with suspected hernia / now operated on thankfully), I was told to drink more…. The whole evening was disappointing and felt like a hard sell to a captive audience of what is overpriced (but quite good quality) wine. We will never return

The team at Sussex Concierge wholeheartedly approve of Bolney, their produce, tours, food and experiences!

Bolney is a family run estate that produces some fabulous white, red and sparkling wines.
Our favourites are their Lychgate Red, Kew White, Bolney Bubbly and Kew Sparkling Rose.

Over the past year, we have sent several parties of guests over there, and all have loved the experience!

When there, the tour is a must. Their guides are incredibly knowledgeable, and can keep even the most novice of wine lovers entertained and interested throughout.

With such a diverse range of products, tastings are a must, and there is plenty to taste!
Make sure to ask your concierge to arrange transportation to and from the estate so you can enjoy it fully!

Whilst there, why not grab something to eat in the Eighteen Acre? The chefs at Bolney have created a stunning and diverse menu for you to enjoy with any of their wines whilst looking out on to the beautiful estate.

Wine, food and tours are all very reasonably priced. The Sussex Concierge team definitely feel this is an essential stop on any tour of the Sussex Wine Country!

Excellent and interesting guided tour of the vineyard and buildings. Our guide Zoe was extremely knowledgeable and made sure everyone was looked after whilst adhering to social distancing. A nice touch to have a glass of Bolney bubbly on arrival. Due to Covid restrictions I had to drive and called before to check whether alcohol free alternatives would be available and was assured they would, but unfortunately I had to pay for these as a extra despite not drinking the generous wine samples. This along with the ‘gourmet’ lunch box were disappointing. I had the vegetarian option which would have been nice enough but the houmous, falafels and crackers made for quite a dry meal. My husband was in his element however, and the wine samples were extremely generous. I was able to sample some of the wine when we got home after purchasing a few bottles to take home. The lesson being that the gourmet tour is probably not worth £45 unless you’re actually tasting the wine (and perhaps a meat eater) on the whole an excellent experience though and we will be returning in due course at some point when we can both enjoy the produce!

My husband and I came to Bolney wine estate for the wine tasting tour and to have Sunday roast after for my birthday.

We had the wonderful Eva as our wine tasting expert and guide. We came early March when the weather wasn't it's best, but with luck we had a great break in the weather and had a sunny guide along the vineyard. Eva was brilliant telling us all the history of the estate and of the vines you see around you.

The wine tasting was really good and would go again with friends as it's a great way to spend the morning! Even better when you have such a lovely host.

The Sunday roast, wow. Absolutely delicious and a huge thank you to the chefs who after a minor issue with my lamb, corrected it even when I wasn't expecting it to be. I was just giving a "heads-up". So that was very kind of them.

Even with the staff being rushed off their feet, everyone was very polite and service was quick but not made to feel rushed at all.

We will most definitely be returning and even if you can't make a tour, do go for the food. We didn't have breakfast, but heard it's amazing - so we will be back for that!

Thank you and see you soon!

Really good tour with extensive knowledge, tried 5 wines plus a taste of there home produced gin, and received a glass of there Bolney bubbly on arrival, weather just held off whilst in the vines so that was a bonus. The lunch box that was included on the tour looked disappointing when first arrived but was far better than it looked and was full of tasty morsels and was more than adequate, the dessert plate however was disappointing though with 3 measly portions on it that wound not equate to even a single portion of dessert, The tour letter we received clearly stated that a two course buffet lunch is included but due to covid they are operating with a lunch box in place of a buffet lunch which makes it easy to comply with the covid restrictions. Overall we had a pleasant time and was a nice trip out

We visited several vineyards on a two day drive around West Sussex and Bolney was the stand out for venue, wine and service. The visitor centre is right among the vines and has a fabulous outdoor balcony as well as spacious cafe serving imaginative dishes from an open kitchen. The Blanc de Blancs was our favourite Sussex wine, it’s delicious. We had great service with the tasting and buying experience from a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable & helpful estate family member. Overall, it was a really good experience and will live on through the stash of wine we brought home.

We had a fantastic and very informative tour / experience at Bolney Wine Estate, enjoying the wine tasting with food pairings. Everything is locally produced and the pairings where a perfect match.

Alex was the star of the show! He provided an extremely well balanced, informative tour and talk about the end to end process from growing the vines, crushing the grapes right through to the glass! He perfectly blended the facts with just the right amount of humour and I could not recommend him more highly. Ian also played a key role on the day and clearly also knew his wines extremely well and they delivered a great talk on both the wines and lovely food.

Many thanks guys and we will definitely recommend your tour to our friends!

My Partner and I did a virtual wine tasting tour with Bolney last Saturday. They sent us a bottle of their English sparkling, a sparkling rose and their Pinot Noir. After a bit of an issue getting on the Zoom call we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide, Helen Chesshire was excellent and not only knew about the wines but kept the conversation flowing and was a great host. For lockdown entertainment, it was super fun and would recommend.
