Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tea room - adult breakfast at £5.95 was good value but children’s at £4.95 for one egg, baked beans and half a piece of toast was not good value at all. I queried when delivered why there wasn’t even a sausage on the children’s one and was told that’s all she got. Came back and checked receipt and it said “no sausage”! Is this have they save costs? Pretend you didn’t want something! Not great service either other than the older lady who was nice.
Also not even a tea spoon for younger children to use.
Staff elsewhere were nice and the ones on the fair where fabulous

Absolute joke
Was free to enter but greeted with the fact that this farm has .... ABSOLUTELY NO ANIMALS... With the exception of a few rabbits in the walled gardens
This used to be such a nice place but now it's just an excuse to get you into the cafe

Lovely food in the little cafe. But the staff clearly don’t want to be there, seeing how miserable they are.

A group of us visited the cafe following a walk around Sandwell Valley.
We were very impressed with the new menu and the food choices. It also offered a delicious vegan breakfast choice which was most unexpected.
The hot chocolate was delightful.
The ladies who served us were very polite, friendly and patient handling our order.
We will definitely be visiting again soon!
The group also enjoyed experiencing the new gift shop.
A wonderful experience had by all.
Thank you!!!

Really disappointed why change something that worked so well for so long! The rabbit area was fantastic but everything else has just gone. I can see you want to use forge mill as the farm but even that is disappointing. We will not be returning. We literally walked round in 10 minutes and just wanted to go home.

Me and my best friend visited sandwell vally country park last week it broke my heart to see such a beautiful place go to just a storage unit . The place was beautiful and well loved and cared for but now it's a storage space. No animals no real gift shop garden's left to ruin. Tea rooms lost the cosy welcome charm .But the jacket potatoes was amazing the best part of the visit.
One broken hearted black country wench.

Visited on a Sat pm just to get my daughter out in the fresh air, hadn't been to the farm since pre covid. After waiting at the desk to pay, standing there whilst the woman behind the desk moaned to someone on the phone about pay and being expected to undertake tasks that staff at other site weren't, she acknowledged us and told us there was no charge as there were no animals there.

As we were there we had a very quick wander around which was really really depressing the kids maze had been dug up, the victorian greenhouse has no glass the cold frames are full of weeds.

One loop around the kitchen garden and back to the entrace, when my little one spotted the Christmas decorations and sign saying half price. Being the magpie she is my daughter of course had to have a bauble for next year. The woman from behind the desk was now having the same moan to 2 council guys.

Getting to the till she announced after scanning the bwuble that 'that one isnt half price i haven't had time to reduce that one' £9!!!!!!! Not happy. If she probably didn't spend all day moaning she might have got around to it. I've been there hundreds of times but i wont bother again. We then popped to Forge Mill farm, fabulous time with knowledgeable and friendly staff, would really recommend that site.

What a con. After spending many happy visits to this farm with grandchildren pre lockdown. I visited today with my two youngest who were looking forward to meeting the animals. We walked in to be told that the “farm” was open but there were no animals . As it was lunchtime we had planned to have lunch at the farm so went in anyway.
So we sat in an empty farm yard. The children’s lunch boxes contained plastic animals and a plastic animal mask, and with a life size plastic cow in the cow shed the children learnt so much about farm life!!!!!
What a shame that Sandwell council have not maintained a much enjoyed facility. Will not be returning.

great afternoon out for all the familieseven on a grey day but leave the devices home and enjoy simple things. Meeting the animals feeding lambs seeing the beautiful calves with their big eyes. The maize maze took the teens into their childhood runjing round calling to find each other. Made funnier by the naughter goats who had escaped and were enjoying chomping. Just need a little more information on the animals as you walk around and information to understand the difference between the victorian farm and what happens now . A tea room would be lovely the litlle shop sells the eggs from the farm and snacks. Pleased to say NO big gift shop as you leave
