Hampton Court Palace is huge. And if you buy a ticket you are going to probably need a full day to do everything it allows (if it is a nice day). There are various parts of the Palace you can visit, with magnificent rooms and...More

We had to ignore our GPS to get here, but we parked right across the street. We enjoyed walking the gardens, including getting lost in the maze for a bit. The maze is tall and you can end up loosing a lot of time in...More

We visited Hampton Court Palace on one of the hottest days of a very hot British summer. Now there's not something you read every day. Apart from the understandable lack of air conditioning in a centuries-old royal palace, we had a most enjoyable day. The...More

The bus is a better bet if you are staying in the city, Kingston, but you need a prepaid Oyster card. We had no idea how to get one. We walked 25 minutes but a taxi would be better on a rainy day.
