Just called in from the hustle and bustle of town shopping and had a quick look round. Would like to return to look in more detail. The ladies on duty were very friendly and welcoming without wanting to push information at you.

What a beautiful Church this is, both inside and outside. Situated in the middle of a bustling Town Centre it has lots of charm and character. Very big and clean inside, with gorgeous stain glassed Windows that you could be looking at for hours. Lovely...More

Popped in as never been into Tamworth town centre before. Had to get past builders' vans first of all and then once inside there's scaffolding in the chancel. In the NW corner is a bit of a sprawling book shop/souvenir shop that is best described...More

Its Tamworth's main church and rather fine. Currently undergoing repairs but it is still open to go in and look around. There are guides to assist and coffee and various other things to buy.

Beautiful stained glass windows. The bell tower has only one stable wall. The internal wall has no windows as they break when the bells are rung. The stairs are rare as they have a double helix spiral. Access by the public to the tower is...More

This Anglican church is most definitely one of the highlights of Tamworth town. Its architecture is fascinating. It is apparently the largest medieval parish church in Staffordshire and stands prominently in the town centre. Most of it dates from 14th and 15th centuries. One can...More

Not all of our history is centred around London, York or 1066, Mercia was a kingdom too and Tamworth has one of the largest and oldest churches in the Midlands, dating back around 1200 years. Open to the public everyday, the architecture of this local...More

I do believe so, we visited Tamworth and just went into the Church. As they has a couple of staff inside I would say it open at least 6 days a week. Sundays of course for services.
