Really lifelike statues that make a statement about the history of mining in the area.Statues are well executed and draw a focus as you drive by or view from the pavement.

I can't help but smile at this colossal waste of money, whenever I see it. What do you give to the town that has nothing? Why, four grotesquely out of proportion concrete miners, to block the visibility on the most central traffic island, of course....More

The detail and knowledge the people here have is astounding. So much to learn and I would highly recommend a gist to this place. A great day out.

I used to work in Rugeley back in the 1970's and many of my colleagues were from mining backgrounds, the pits featured heavily in everyones lives back then. It was lovely to revisit the area and see that the miners have been recognised with statues...More
