Every year we take our boys (now 4 and 7) to the Halloween trail around the woods and this was the best one yet. Well worth a visit.

A return visit, but this time with our dogs so did not visit the house and gardens (which are delightful and well worth seeing) but had a light lunch in the courtyard area (very busy in the sunshine but good food when we got it!)...More

The dry summer has not helped but there are large areas of the property not available to walk around. It seems conservation is given priority over customer enjoyment. The paved area of the garden is dangerous to walk on because of broken slabs and needs...More

Loved the house and gardens which comes with a great history. Really enjoyed our visit made all the more real by the introductory talk in the chapel before we started exploring. Garden very well maintained.

We were fortunate to have a lovely warm day for our visit. The welcome was excellent and helpful. The house is small but most interesting, and the gardens are lovingly tended. We were pleased to be allowed to take our dog into the courtyard for...More

House and gardens very nice. Dog walk not well sign posted with no map. Cream tea was just ok as the scones could be warm 10sec microwave. Outside setting benches ok but rounds not good.

Another of the "Yeovil Four" (Montacute, Lytes Cary, Tintinhull & Barrington) and well worth a visit, especially if you have a National Trust card. The Topiary is in front of the manor house, the gardens around the side. It's not very big, but they have...More

Visited while holidaying in the area. A very unusual National Trust property. Well worth a visit, quite interesting, beautiful gardens. There was a lovely log fire burning in the entrance hall. The volunteers were very helpful and informative. Good car parkingn facilitaties. Highly recommend.

Just had a visit to this small Manor, and I'm really glad that we popped in. Although small it is fairly unique in that rooms are not roped off, and you can freely move around in all of the areas. This makes it feel more...More

Yes they had benches in the picnic area. Some people were sitting on blankets in the fields adjacent to the picnic area. I didn’t see any bins, for rubbish. We took ours home.
