Discovered this campsite this year. Love it!! Well run and friendly family run campsite. Really welcoming. We liked it so much we stayed twice in August. Great location. Welcomes dogs. Good walks through surrounding woodland to Porlock, Porlock Weir and the beach. We were in the second field which has a slope so if you're in a van (we were) you'll need blocks to level the van. This will definitely become a favourite place to visit.

We stayed with our two Grand daughters in our touring caravan. It's a beautiful site, clean with a small on site shop. Gorgeous stream running through and grass pitches . Julian who runs the site with his team is a superman and so helpful. We have booked again for next year and recommended to family too. Good for tents as well.

We have been going to Burrowhayes Farm for 30 years. It is the most relaxing, idyllic site you could wish for. It’s nestled at the foot of Exmoor and Exmoor Forest and surrounded by picture postcard Somerset villages. There are riding stables and a gentle river running through the site which keep children of all ages entertained. Julian and Marion, with their trusty long-serving assistant Mary keep the site spotless and without disturbance. Utterly beautiful!

My daughter has been desperate to ride a pony since she saw wild ponies in the New Forest. When we decided to holiday in Somerset I set about researching opportunities to ride. Burrowhayes was just around the corner from where we stayed and easily reached from the main road from Minehead to Porlock. The staff were very helpful and answered all of our questions. As a non rider my daughter could only partake in the half hour lead walk but they offer longer treks to more experienced riders. She was allocated a friendly little pony called Alfie and thoroughly enjoyed her ride along the marked route around the local countryside. A lovely experience for a new rider. Based within a camping site with adequate parking and a small shop available.
